About hunting in British Columbia
British Columbia is a province rich in wildlife and hunting history. The province is almost one million km2 (385,000 miles2) and home to 18 of the North American 30 big game species. Since the mid 1800’s, the world’s hunting fraternity has known that BC was home to some of the world’s most magnificent big game populations. From mountain-tops to valley bottoms, rivers and lakes to grasslands and lush forests, BC has quality habitat for wildlife in which to thrive. This helps produce quality big game populations throughout the province. In BC guide outfitters are licensed with the exclusive rights to guide non-resident big game hunters in their specific territory. Therefore, they have immense knowledge of the wildlife populations where they guide. All outfitters are insured and bonded. Most outfitters are members of the Guide Outfitters Association of BC (GOABC) and follow a Code of Conduct. We hope you “Book Your Hunt” with a GOABC member and your hunting dreams come true.

Vancuver Island Black Bear Hunt (1 bear) Canada
The black bears on Vancouver Island have been classified as a distinct subspecies because of their long time separation from the mainland population. Our bears are all black with no color phases, yet, approximately 50% will have a white patch of varying sizes on their chest. Skulls and bodies are typically blockier than their mainland cousins and many of the bears we take will break the 7’ square mark. The terrain within our vast hunting area varies greatly from steep and rocky logging areas to lush tidal flats along the ocean. All of our hunts are spot and stalk since baiting is illegal in BC. Your experienced guide will be with you at all times, both to ensure your safety, and to inform and advise you on the habits, age, size and sex of each of the many black bears you will see.

Wolf Hunt 1x1 Canada
Wolf hunts are based from motels or camper trailers and depending on the time of year is how we regulate how we hunt them. This is a 5-day, fully guided hunt. We will have bait sites with blinds or stands for our hunters to be concealed in. The wolves are frequent at these places and give our hunter an opportunity to make a good shot on them. If we have snow, we can be effective by finding fresh tracks and call them, using electronic or hand calls to imitate another wolf or a dying animal that will be sure to bring them running. We have a limit of 3 wolves per hunter and there will be no additional charge for harvesting more than one. Wolf hunting seasons are: April 1 - June 15 September 10 - March 31.

Spring Black Bear 2 on 1 Hunt Canada
Includes 1st black bear, wolf and fishing, $1500 trophy fee for 2nd black bear Spring hunting methods include 4×4 from base camp or on foot. Black bear can be hunted on any fall hunt on a trophy fee basis. High Success Spot & Stalk Black Bear Hunting In BC baiting bears is illegal, but we aren’t one to complain. Our black bear hunts are all spot and stalk. We know it’s not uncommon for baited bear hunts to be 100%, but why not do a spot and stalk hunt that is 100 times the excitement with the same success on 6 foot or better bears? If a big black bear is what you are looking for then spring (late May-mid June) is the time to come up to Northern BC. In the springtime the bears have just emerged from the den and are hungry for green grass. The roadsides and south facing cutblocks is where they will be found making this a hunt that anyone regardless of age or physical ability will enjoy. In addition to the concentration of good high quality feed, the bears are also in the rut in the spring and we see big boars at this time of year that we rarely see at any other time of the year. We are on a 2 bear limit and most hunters will kill a 6 foot or better bear, with several going 7 foot plus. Having just emerged from the den the bears still have their full winter coats at this time of year. Our bears are generally all black with many of them having the classic white “V” on their chest. Color phase bears range from cinnamon to a dark chocolate brown. Color phase harvest rates vary year to year, but overall our black bear harvest average is 10% color phase. A deposit of 33% is required to book a trip. A 2nd deposit of 33% plus license and tag funds are due: April 1st for Spring Hunts June 1st for Fall hunts. The remaining balance is due upon arrival in camp. Final payment must be in cash, certified cheque, or wire transfer*. Personal checks will not be accepted as final payment and your hunt will not start until the hunt is paid for in full.
