About hunting in British Columbia

British Columbia is a province rich in wildlife and hunting history. The province is almost one million km2 (385,000 miles2) and home to 18 of the North American 30 big game species. Since the mid 1800’s, the world’s hunting fraternity has known that BC was home to some of the world’s most magnificent big game populations. From mountain-tops to valley bottoms, rivers and lakes to grasslands and lush forests, BC has quality habitat for wildlife in which to thrive. This helps produce quality big game populations throughout the province. In BC guide outfitters are licensed with the exclusive rights to guide non-resident big game hunters in their specific territory. Therefore, they have immense knowledge of the wildlife populations where they guide. All outfitters are insured and bonded. Most outfitters are members of the Guide Outfitters Association of BC (GOABC) and follow a Code of Conduct. We hope you “Book Your Hunt” with a GOABC member and your hunting dreams come true.

Fall Black Bear Hunt 1x1 '18

Fall Black Bear Hunt 1x1 '18 Canada

Bear hunting offers a chance for you to harvest 2 bears on a 5-day, fully guided hunt. It also offers you a chance at the beautiful color phased black bear that the Okanagan is well known for. These are not your typical bait watching black bear hunts. These hunts will be sure to get you involved! What we also have for you is alternative options for the benefit of your success. One of these options is the Spot and Stalk method, where we will hunt powerlines, meadows and clearcuts. Another option - and if you like the sound of hounds, you will love this hunt! - is our dogs doing what they love best! We use our dogs to strike, chase and finally tree or bay these bears up. We utilize quads, UTV's and pickups for this hunt. We have what we call "rigging racks" for our dogs to be tied up on. This way, while we are driving, they can smell a bear and bark, which is called "striking". We then stop the vehicle and look for bear sign on the road. We will then release the hounds after making sure the dogs are collared with telemetry and GPS. Bear hunting seasons are: spring (April 1 - June 30), fall (September 1 - November 30).

2019 Mule Deer Ranch 2 on 1 Hunt

2019 Mule Deer Ranch 2 on 1 Hunt Canada

Mule deer are hunted from September through November with rifle, muzzleloader, or bow. Bow only season is the first 10 days of December. Trophy mule deer hunts are six days of hunting with one travel day before and after. Early season Mule Deer are hunted from our alpine camps where the hunters will stay at our cabin and hunt deer on horse and on foot. Hunters also have the choice of spike camping if the weather is good and you want to look over some untouched country. This early season hunt can be combined with Mountain Goat, Black Bear or Moose or a combination of all species. This time of year is a great time to spend in the Coastal Mountains pursuing BC's large game animals. Late season trophy Mule Deer are hunted from the main ranch. 4x4 trucks and atv's are used to cover ground, and glassing and stalking are the most common ways of hunting. Accessing ranches to find the trophy bucks and hiking the deer's wintering grounds are sure ways of finding the big bucks that are chasing does around during the rut. We are offering Moose, Mule Deer and Trophy Black Bear hunts to wheelchair bound hunters an now has added the ability to hunt Cougar and Lynx to the list of to do's for avid disabled hunters.

Goat / Elk Combo 1x1 '19

Goat / Elk Combo 1x1 '19 Canada

Nothing truly amplifies the high country experience as much as hunting goats on their home turf. Mountain goats are our specialty with our territory having great population numbers with high success rates on mature billies. Hunters must be in good shape for a hunt to be successful, as you often have to climb in rough terrain. This is truly a hunt where you’ll be on top of the world! There’s not a lot that’s more exciting than calling in bugling bulls, often very close and personal, a true memory that will stick. By covering multiple slides and calling, you can hunt the September and October months for these mossy horned giants. Our bulls’ average Boone and Crockett score are around 300 inches and there is always the chance at that true monster.
