Four-Horned Ram hunting in South Africa

The original Four-horned Rams (Jacob's Sheep) were probably introduced to the country from shipwrecks by the early explorers along the east coast of South Africa. Centuries later remnants of these sheep can still be seen when visiting the Wild Coast in the Eastern Cape. Limited hunting opportunities exists to shoot these Four-horned Rams in South Africa which are classified as exotics. As the name imply these sheep are easily identifiable by their four horns. Some are colorfully marked but others may have been crossed with domesticated sheep and are a uniform off cream colour. Four-horned Rams may be readily hunted without any permits.
