Cape eland hunting in Namibia ({{totalToursString}})
Cape Eland is as heavy as a Moose and as a family Africa’s largest antelope. A desirable trophy that has a massive dewlap, a brush of hair on its forehead and a good set of horns although often the older bulls have broomed off worn down horns.
It’s remarkable that such a huge animal can actually flourish under such arid conditions. Obviously being such a heavy animal they leave a very distinctive spoor making for a great track, walk and stalk hunt. If this is your choice of hunting method be prepared with lots of water and a long walk over the sandy desert soils.
The majority of Eland hunted in Namibia are Cape Eland although Livingstone Eland do occur in northern Namibia and the Caprivi. Prices differ between the two related species with Cape Eland trophy prices being the more affordable of the two. Cape Eland are primarily hunted in the eastern parts of the country in the northern, central and southern regions.
The subtle differences between the species may not always be so easy to see and Eland hunted south of Etosha are all categorized as Cape Eland in the SCI record book. Classified as species of least concern by the IUCN, no special permits are required to hunt these magnificent beasts.

Looking for the best hunting trips...
Why do I see different types of prices?
There are two types of hunts on our platform: Package Hunts and Customizable Hunts. Package Hunts are fixed offers. Customizable Hunts usually allow you to select species and other parameters (number of hunters and guests, etc.) and then you can see the final price of your hunt.
"Package price" tag - this price tag is shown for package hunts, and it's a final price for an offer.
"Price from" tag - we show this tag for customizable hunts either when you search for particular species or when there is only one type of species in an offer. In both cases we include the minimum trophy fee available for this type of animal. It means that you see the final price of the offer, but you can also customize it (e.g. you can include a bigger trophy into your hunt).
"Daily rate fee" tag - this price does NOT include trophy fee. For example, if you are searching for a destination and we can't figure out the species you want, then we show this tag. You will need to include trophies from a hunt page.
