- I have over 30 years of hunting experience in Greenland, both winter and autumn hunting.
- Our two main products are: winter hunting in the period March 1 to April 10, with a focus on Muskox, combined with hunting of Caribou and small game, and autumn hunting from July to October for both Muskox and Caribou.
- We don't provide luxury service in terms of accommodation and meals, and the trophy hunter participates in the work to fix animals, cook and take care of the camp etc - on the other hand, our prices are very favorable for the hunter who does not want to spend a fortune on a hunting trip.
- Our hunting trips are focusing on the whole experience, so we live in the camp out in the hunting area, and bear hunting as close as possible to an authentic experience, so it's out in the wild and the whole event is held so it's more like hunting buddies who are on hunting together where you share the work, and the animals have a chance.

This is a 6 day Muskox hunt package with 4 full hunting days and 1 trophy Muskox license included to the price. During the hunt we use snowmobile transport to drive a few km from the animals, and the rest of the hunt is done on foot. After an animal is shot, we transport meat and trophy back to camp by snowmobile. You have to be in a moderate condition, so you can walk 3-4 miles of varied terrain with little snow. There will be one hunting guide per two hunters. Compound bow hunting is possible only on 1x1 basis (paid as extra), crossbow hunting is not allowed. It may be around -25 C at night and -10 -15 C during the day, but it varies a lot, so you have to have warm clothes, preferably several thin layers than one thick. Approximate hunting plan: Day 1, arrival by plane from DK , transport to camp with departure about 13:00 Day 2-5, hunting from the camp. Day 6, transport to Kangerlussuaq with departure around 10:00 You can not fly home on day 6, you have to book the airplane for day 7. When Muskox and Caribou are shot, we use the rest of the hunt for small game hunting: there are foxes, ravens, ptarmigans and quite a few snow hares. And we can also go icefishing for fjord cods. The meat can not be exported according to the EU regulations, but you can bring up to 10 kg with you on your flight out of Greenland (please check meat import rules for your country). All harvested meat is used, either for human consumption, or as dogfood for my dogs depending on the quality. We always carry additional safety equipment and satellite phone on all trips. We normally accomodate up to 4 hunters, but can do 6 if booking as a single group (including observers, if any). As it is natural for any hunting, even with the success rate in the area being 100% for Musk-ox on the winter hunt, we can not guarantee you will get the animals. You must be realistic with your expectations, and much depends on youself, your fitness and shooting skills. The hunt takes place in a unique area with a very large Muskox population, and due to the commercial shooting of young animals, there is a very large portion of the population that are older bulls with a good number of possible medal trophies. During the winter the commercial hunting is over, and therefore it is quiet in the hunting area. Muskox is fairly easy to trace, and to get within shooting range of, but the Caribou are a little more spread out, more alert, and usually go up in the mountains. So Caribou hunt requires that you can walk longer. You must use the terrain as they easily get scared by a noise or movement. One should also be aware of that all major Caribou have their antlers thrown for the winter, so it's not the big beautiful trophies that you take home.

In winter we hunt in a big area outside the conscessions, its south of Kangerlussuaq, and is about 350.000 acres. Transport is easy with snowmobiles, so we can easily get around in the area.

Our camp is a large cabin out in the hunting area, older and primitive, but heated and comfortable. Mattressses in cabin. Bring your own sleepingbag. From 2023 we will probably be in a new mobile cabin closer to the huntingarea, depends on the ice on the fjord and the weather. Transport from Kangerlussuaq to hunting camp is with with snowmobile and/or ATV. The catering is plain food, oatmeal with milk, bread and cold cuts, freeze-dried food for dinner if we are not near the camp, hot food in the evening where we mostly eat any meat from slaughtered animals, reindeer and musk steaks, tea and coffee. We can enjoy a whiskey or two in the evening, but not during the hunt and not large quantities. After the hunt you stay at Kangerlussuaq Youth Hostel as included in the price.

When you fly here, then you travel to Copenhagen airport in Denmark, from there you fly with Air Greenland to Kangerlussuaq in Greenland, where we pick you up at the airport. It is possible to fly over Keflavik in Iceland to Nuuk and then Kangerlussuaq. But it can give some problems with delays and luggage, and the price is almost the same. So we do not recommend that route. Even thow is possible to fly direct over Copenhagen, its more safe to stay overnight in Copenhagen, and if you come from far away like the US, then 2 nights is better. Its up to you to get here on the correct date. You must bring your home country hunting permit and/or weapons permit.This is required by the hunting adminstration. When bringing your own hunting rifle you also need to bring the weapon papers for that rifle to show at check on with the Airlines. Check in with hunting rifle at AirGreenland takes about 30 min extra because of paperworks, and the weapon has to be handed over at a special counter. But this is not complicated to bring a hunting rifle.

Quality trophy hunt.
Guides were very knowledgeable of the area. There was a lot of game and trophy quality animals.
The food was sub par. We ate the same thing every day. I was unaware of the exchange rate between US dollar and Denmark currency. This added an extra 800+ dollars to my trip. Also the cost that the outfitter charged to ship my trophies from Greenland to Denmark seemed higher than the actual cost of shipping. Once an animal is down the guide takes it back to camp. It’s the Hunter’s responsibility to take the trophies out of camp at the completion of the hunt. This hike is extremely difficult and not suited for most hunters. Or you can pay the outfitter. This can be very pricey. The reason why they charge to get your trophies out is because most Foreign hunters do not tip. American hunters tip so there is a bit of confusion. What I did learn is if you pay the guide to take your trophies out the fees that they charge is their tip. I carried my trophies out myself and tipped due to the confusion
You can be out of shape and still get a musk ox
First and foremost, Musk Ox were everywhere and guides were very professional and helpful. They would also make sure that you have a good time after you harvested your musk ox. We went ice fishing and small game hunting. Second, if you used to hunt public lands out west, this hunt is more like a 30 mins walk in the hippies infested parks in the suburbs. You basically just ride snowmobiles or atv until you spot a group. Then you put on a stalk. In addition, this place does not have much elevations. So most people should be able to handle it without any drama. As a matter of fact, one guy who has bad knees in our group was in his 80s. He knocked down a trophy musk ox on day 1.
Absolutely nothing. Some tips for future hunters. The walls of the cabin were thin. I suggest not bring female companions. (Or male, depending on what you like). Martin, one of the guide, is very fond of plum brandy distilled in Slovakia. Bring him a bottle would make him very happy and work extra hard.
October Caribou and Muskox
Rasmus was my guide during the hunt along with Erik who was out there daily. The guides work extremely hard to get out an animal with zero complaints and positive attitudes. Rasmus did a fantastic job and provided great information about the animals and the area. Erik answered any questions I had honestly and true and I knew what to expect before coming to Greenland on the hunt. We ate Muskox and caribou in camp once killed daily and had lots of other things available to eat for us. But, was definitely a simple food choice. I saw Richard’s review above and he was the hunt before us and made sure I knew what to expect as well. We had five individuals in our tour and were all successful for Muskox and Caribou. The weather was cold, down to -20C when we were there and we saw more and more caribou moving in daily. The Muskox were always there and I saw 27 Muskox in total and over 100 caribou in four days of hunting.
Some things to keep in mind, this is a physically challenging hunt. We would walk 15-25k per day along with sledding out animals. It was cold every day going out, but, the accommodations back were nice. We saw lots of Caribou bulls just nothing with huge size, so, don’t expect to come here and kill a record book Caribou. However, some very large Muskox were killed by the other hunters. I ended up killing an old caribou and a young Muskox. Don’t expect a fancy lodge when coming here, we stayed in a nice warm structure and tent that was heated with kerosene.
