Lodge was the best I have ver stayed in. Clean, full of trophy mounts, and great food. I was able to kill two bucks, a boar, and an alligator on my trip. The stands are high quality and kept up. There is a whole team of people to help you be successful. Jim, the owner, has his game management down pat. Weather(wind) was taken into account for every persons hunting location. Everyday. Trail cams. Feeders. They do everything they can to make you successful. Thermal scopes to night hunt with. Alone with their own dogs to track any hit animals. 100 yards range on site.

The camp is fantastic. Comfortable cabins with all the amenities of home. Great staff and meals. The wild lands of Newfoundland were a great experience for a guy from Arkansas.

My hunt in Luleå with Jonas exceeded expectations on every level. The experience was grounded in genuine, local hunting values—courteous, authentic, and quietly professional. Every detail was handled with care: transport, accommodation, food, and equipment were all seamless and of a standard that went well beyond what was promised. The days were never rigid or transactional. Instead, they flowed naturally, delivered with a level of serviceability and personal investment that is rare to find. Jonas is humbly modest, but what he offers his guests is genuinely unique. His clear passion for hunting and for North Sweden is evident in everything he does, and it was a privilege to be introduced to the region through his eyes. This was not just a hunt, but a complete and thoughtfully delivered experience. I have no suggestions for improvement. If you are choosing a hunt through in Luleå or Sweden at all, this is the one you book.

My son Tim and I had an outstanding mountain lion hunt with Ira as our outfitter/guide. I’ve followed hounds for decades, and the work shown by Ira’s dogs was some of the best I’ve ever witnessed. The country ranged from flat desert to rugged, rough terrain, making for a challenging and authentic hunt. Beyond the hunt itself, we were treated to excellent home-cooked meals prepared by Ira’s wife, Kyra, and enjoyed meeting their young boys. This was one of the easiest reviews I’ve ever written—it was a first-class experience all around, we’ll be going back again next year.

Antonie Esterhuizen of Estreux Safaris offered a deal a while ago that seemed made for me. We hunted in the Grootfontein area as years of prolonged drought had made the proposed hunt in Kaokaland unfeasible. You can read plenty of reviews of hunting from other posters, the sentiments of whom I share, so I won't spend much time reviewing the hunt itself; instead, I want to review my non-hunting week, because it will give a pretty clear picture of Anton and Estreux. The second week of my time with Anton was truly something special. After hunting for seven days, he took me on a trip through northwest Namibia. It was apparent from the reviews of Estreux Safaris that Anton is a very knowledgeable man, and this was so evident on the trip. I cannot believe that anyone in Namibia knows his country as well as he does. His encyclopedic knowledge of the flora, fauna, geology, and history of Namibia are formidable, and at every turn we encountered people who know him from his many services to Namibia. His trip included an eclectic variety of places and experiences; every day and night brought a different experience: Etosha Heights, Etosha, Camp Aussicht, a mountain-top villa of his Himba expert and mining friend, Marius, Sesfontein, Ongongo waterfall, the Himba sacred mountain, Khowarib Lodge, the Skeleton Coast, Swakopmund, and a trip to Joe's in Windhoek on the evening before my departure. This is by no means the complete list. His attention to detail and desire to satisfy his clients can be illustrated with two brief examples: one night, he had me seated in such a way as to afford me the impressive spectacle of the full moon rising from behind a mountain just as supper was served; on another, he presided over the arrival and feeding of four porcupines who then provided hours of entertainment as we spent the evening with his mountain-dwelling friends. I had once mentioned that it would be nice to see a porcupine. I have had numerous trips to Africa and have hunted in four countries. I have been fortunate that every trip has been very good to exceptional. Anton stands at the top of the list. I will certainly return, but will be sure to take more time. There are so many places to hunt and visit in Namibia, and Anton is the guy I will want to guide me in further exploration of that wonderful country. Give him a try. Anton will put you on to excellent animals, and teach you so much that will your time will be very fulfilling.

Very simple operation that makes you feel at home and not on a pedestal to hunt or some big outfitter. Great people

Dustin and his team are extremely knowledgeable when it comes to elk hunting! They were able to get me and my fiancé on two beautiful bulls in three days! We spot in stalked my bull for 3 to 4 miles playing a cat and mouse calling game with it until it finally presented a 60 yard shot! It didn’t run more than 50 yards before a piled up. My fiancé‘s was a much shorter spot in stock which presented a 200 yard shot and they dropped right in its tracks. Overall, this was one of the most exciting and amazing hunting experiences I’ve ever had! The whole team showed up and helped pack out both bulls and they even delivered it to the Taxidermist for us and the meat processor! Just went above and beyond for us and we look forward to booking many more hunts with him!

We stalked from the moment we got out of the car until we were successful. Lots of game and excellent trophy quality. Wonderful guides, Ivan and Neil were both exceptional. I will be going back in May.

It's always first and foremost about the hunting. The hunting was nothing short of spectacular.. the lodging was spectacular the service was spectacular. The help excellent. The camaraderie and the hospitality I mean second to none you cannot ask for anything more. Just all the help and the Bernardis family all great people.
