The Eastern Cape region of South Africa is a malaria free area and is home to many animal species but is well known for its local species that are mainly only found in the region. These species include, bushbuck, common duiker, blue duiker, caracal. bushpig, oribi, cape greysbuck. We are also fortunate to have excelling fishing off of our coast where we catch a variety of silver and red reef fish. The Eastern Cape or more specifically where our lodge is positioned has many activities for the non hunter, or even if the hunter needs some time off, or for families. These include, river cruises, visit to Addo National Elephant Park, Visit to Private big 5 game reserve, fishing, horse back rides on the beach and Spa treatments too name a few.

Where you will stay
Salty Creek Lodge
The lodge is situated on the banks of the Kariega River, 5Km from the coastal village of Kenton on Sea. Salty Creek has 4 luxury en-suite bedrooms, each with double basins and open showers.
The bush boma provides a truly wild African bush experience with open views into the coastal thicket. A few drinks at the Ashwood bar to share stories from the days hunting, and to provide memories that would last forever. Dining either inside alongside a cozy fireplace around an old Family sleeper wood table that comfortably seats 12, or outside on the patio, depending on the weather. The comfortable lounge area has heavy leather sofas and is also alongside a fireplace to add warmth to the chilly winter evenings.

Navigation guidelines
Clients would fly into Johannesburg or Cape Town, then take a domestic/commercial flight to Port Elizabeth where they will be collected. It is a mere 1,5 hours drive to our Coastal Lodge, which is based along the banks of the Kariega River.
