About this hunt

The D-LOOP has a reputation of attracting big bears. Studies show that some big bears may travel over a 100 miles in a year in search of good habitat and sows to breed. The new owner of PREDATOR vs PREY OUTFITTING, Dave Silva, is proud to announce that he will be baiting and offering high quality bear hunts at the D-LOOP, the D-Loop was established by Dan Hungle in the 1980's Mr. Dan Hungle published the book the bears are calling in 2017 with many stories of the many hunts, with even famous hunting celebrities who have hunted the D-loop such as Ralph and Vicki Cianciarulo, and Fred Eichler! Alberta has a two-bear limit, so on this hunt you can harvest two bears if you choose too.  The price of your hunt includes one bear, if you choose to harvest a second bear a $1750 (USD) trophy fee will need to be paid in cash at camp. Quality photos will be taken of your trophy for your lasting memories.  After photos, your bear will be skinned with care and placed in one of our freezers along with the meat if you choose to keep it.  You will be provided a leak-proof type of container to transport your hide(s)/meat home with you in a frozen condition.  We bait very aggressively at all our bait sites often with several 55-gallon drums at each site.  We provide a great variety of different baits that keeps the bear interested and coming back for more.  We’ve found the best way to look over a trophy bear is at close range; our bait sites are set up for shots at about 20 yards.  All of our bait sites are strategically places in prime black bear habitat to attract large numbers and of course large bears. Its hunting and we know that sometimes things happen even at 20 yards things can go wrong.  Our guides are highly trained in tracking and recovering animals. They will make every effort to retrieve your trophy.  In the event that the guide is unable to recover the animal it will be considered “tagged” and the second bear fee will be required to continue hunting.
