About this hunt

Bear camp is located near the town of Edson, Alberta. The nearest international airport is located in Edmonton, Alberta, approximately a two and a half hour drive. You would fly to Edmonton where you will rent a car and drive to Edson. From there, we will house you at our large comfortable house, feed you home cooked meals and take you bear hunting. You will have to purchase your own licence and tags, (approximately $300). Cost of the hunt is $5000 USD this year, You definitely can rent a rifle from me for $100, that’s getting to be a popular option as many guys prefer not to travel with guns. We’ve been in operation since 2017 and have consistently put our hunters on nice bears. We had a huge forest fire burn through our area in 2023 and had to rebuild many of the stands the next year, but the forest is growing back quickly. We leave to go hunting each day around 3 pm and will be out til dark, about 10:30 or 11, back in camp around midnight. We eat supper around midnight, head for bed, get up maybe 9 am next morning for breakfast, have the morning to relax, sit by the campfire, skin and process bears, have lunch at 1 or so and head out hunting. You will have a wolf tag as well, so while you wait for bears you might get a chance at a wolf. There is sporadic cell reception throughout our hunting area, so you can communicate with us via text while you hunt. You can shoot two bears each and we will help you skin and salt your hide and debone your meat. There could be up to 6 hunters in camp. We have Wi-Fi and good cell service at the lodge. We also have a remote lake we fish at for northern pike from canoes as well.
