- At Wild Rose Outfitters, hunting isn’t just what we do—it’s who we are. Born and raised in Alberta, I’ve spent my life here, forging deep connections with local landowners and gaining exclusive access to some of the province’s best hunting grounds. With over 20 years of guiding experience, I’ve built Wild Rose Outfitters on the principles of hard work, integrity, and a deep respect for both the land and the animals we pursue.
- We’re a low-volume outfitter by choice, welcoming only a select number of hunters each season. This ensures every guest receives our full attention and the best chance at success, while also fostering the close-knit, welcoming atmosphere we’re known for.
- Our hunts are about more than just taking game; they’re about sharing an authentic, unforgettable experience in Alberta’s breathtaking wilderness. Every hunter and every trip is unique, and we tailor each hunt to fit your goals and style. Many of our hunters return year after year—drawn back not just by the trophy-caliber opportunities, but by the personal touch and genuine care that define every hunt.
- If you’re ready for the hunt of a lifetime, we’d love to welcome you to Wild Rose Outfitters. Here, every hunt is personal, every experience unforgettable—and the memories you make will last long after the season ends.
About this hunt
Hunt the Legend: Archery in the Edmonton Bowzone
If you're serious about chasing true North American trophy whitetails, there’s one place that should be at the top of your list: The Edmonton Bowzone. This isn't just another deer hunt—this is the ultimate archery challenge in one of the most unique and legendary urban hunting zones on the continent.
What makes the Bowzone so special? Genetics, geography, and exclusivity. Alberta whitetails are known for mass, body size, and mature age class—and the Bowzone delivers that in spades. These deer grow old and grow big, living in a unique mix of farmland, river valleys, and urban fringe. You’ll be glassing trophy bucks within sight of city lights—and drawing your bow on 160+ class giants that rarely see pressure.
Because it’s archery-only, the deer here behave differently. They move more during daylight. They live longer. And they often slip past hunters who don’t put in the work. That’s the thrill—you’re not just hunting deer, you’re outsmarting ghosts.
Access is tight, and success comes only to those who scout hard, stay patient, and master their shot. But when it all comes together—when a heavy-racked monarch steps into bow range—it’s a moment you’ll never forget.
Whether you're a seasoned bowhunter chasing your biggest buck yet or looking to test your skills in one of North America’s most storied zones, the Edmonton Bowzone offers an experience unlike any other.
Get ready for a true adventure in the heart of Alberta’s big buck country. Our whitetail hunts run from September through November, with action-packed days spent in well-placed tree stands and ground blinds set in prime travel corridors. These hunts are all about patience, persistence, and the chance at a truly mature buck.
Hunt Schedule: Our whitetail hunts are a minimum of 6 full hunting days. Longer
trips can be booked upon request.
