Spring Spot and Stalk Bear Hunts in the NWT
Canadian Wildlife Adventures, in the Northwest Territories (NWT) is offering 5 full days of Spot & Stalk Spring black bear hunts. We are able to take 6 hunters maximum per hunt date.
In the NWT it is illegal to bait bears, so this is a spot and stalk hunt that will by roads, trails, and could be on rivers in some of our areas.
Looking for a thrilling bear hunt with a little bit of a challenge? A change from a sitting and waiting for a trophy bear to show up at your bait pile.
Spring in the NWT is the ideal time for spot & stalk black bear hunts. At this time of the year, bear hides are in prime condition and colour phases are beginning. Cinnamon, brown, blonde and jet black bears can be found in this area. The NWT holds 1,000’s of square miles of amazing boreal wilderness, offering our guides plenty of bear hunting territory to work with. Spot and Stalk Black Bear hunts are an adrenaline filled adventure every hunter should experience!
The bears are hungry after a long winter sleep and are on the move searching for fresh new vegetation. At this time of year it's common to see multiple bears a day and on a "bear day" when the conditions are favourable 5-12 bear is normal, sometimes with several stalk attempts. Most bears are solid black, to black with a white blaze, Our bears will average 5 1/2 - 6 feet squared with the monster boars going 7 feet.
We hunt for these bears from our camps in the NWT. We can accommodate up to six hunters at once. If you want a black bear and the opportunity to hunt a black bear with us the NWT has significant numbers, we will boast a 100%
