Your safari begins in the Free State, where you’ll enjoy exciting dove shooting over productive agricultural areas. Depending on the season and weather conditions, hunters can expect up to 1,000 shots per person per day. After each day’s hunt, relax in a luxury lodge overlooking the majestic Vaal River. The second half of your safari takes place in the malaria-free province of KwaZulu-Natal, where you’ll hunt carefully managed private properties renowned for outstanding duck and goose shooting. Exclusive access to prime hunting areas ensures excellent bird numbers, minimal hunting pressure, and an exceptional hunting experience. South Africa offers 14 legal species of ducks and geese during the hunting season (1 May–31 August), making it one of the world’s premier waterfowl destinations. Common species include Yellow-billed Duck, Red-billed Teal, White-faced Whistling Duck, Egyptian Goose, and the impressive Spur-winged Goose.
