Our company was established in 2016 and operates in 4 territories.
- Rupisalmo is a premium, founder-led outfitter based in Andorra, in the heart of the Pyrenees. Co-founders Josep Maria Cabanes and Miquel Martin were raised in mountain-hunting families, and that heritage shapes everything we do today. We design a limited number of bespoke hunts across Spain and select destinations worldwide, combining authentic fair-chase experiences with refined hospitality. Our promise is simple: meticulous preparation, discreet service, and unwavering respect for wildlife, land, and tradition.
- We turn hunting ambitions into beautifully executed journeys. Rupisalmo secures top private concessions for each species and scouts year-round so you hunt where the best animals live. You’ll be guided 1x1 by specialists who know every ridge, draw, and wind. From permits and rifle rental to airport transfers, lodges, and dining, our concierge logistics keep your focus on the hunt. Whether it’s the Spanish Ibex Grand Slam, Pyrenean and Cantabrian chamois, mouflon, or select red, roe, and fallow deer—each itinerary is crafted to your pace, goals, and style.
About this hunt
Hunting the Pyrenean Chamois (Isard) with Rupisalmo is a pure fair-chase, high-mountain experience in the heart of the Pyrenees. This is wild country—steep basins, rocky ridgelines, and big visibility—where careful glassing and a disciplined approach matter. We work directly on the ground (no intermediaries), and we keep our calendar limited so every hunt gets the scouting and attention it deserves.
What makes our Isard hunts different: we scout year-round and hunt the areas where mature chamois consistently live, guided 1x1 by a true mountain specialist who knows the wind, the access points, and how to close the distance in technical terrain. Expect an honest, earned hunt with real stalking, great trophy potential, and a team that handles the details quietly and professionally—permits/tags, transfers, rifle rental if needed, and comfortable local accommodations close to the hunting area.
Rough itinerary
Day 1: Arrival (Barcelona or local airport), pick-up and transfer to the Pyrenees. Gear check, rifle verification (or rental setup), briefing, and early scouting if time allows.
Days 2–4: Full hunting days. Early start, long glassing sessions, then planned stalks based on wind and animal behavior. We’ll evaluate multiple chamois and focus on the right trophy for your goals.
Final day: Optional morning hunt (if needed), then transfer back to the airport.
If you’re looking for an authentic European mountain hunt—steep, beautiful, and real—with a team that scouts hard, guides 1x1, and executes the trip smoothly, the Pyrenean Chamois with Rupisalmo is exactly that.
