Springbuck is the only true gazelle found in Southern Africa. This beautiful, small antelope is most impressive during a pronking display. This peculiar behavioural display entails the animal bouncing on all fours, leaping high in the air revealing a crest of white fur from their arched backs. The Kalahari Springbuck is a revered specimen of this species found throughout the dry, semi-arid grasslands of the country, including the Kalahari Desert from whence it gained its name.
