Elephant hunting in Mozambique
We found 1 hunt
Elephant got their scientific name from their slanting teeth (tusks). These massive pachyderms in Mozambique are found mostly in territories that border other international countries, like South Africa in the south and west, Zimbabwe in the central western districts and up north with the Tanzanian border known as Niassa. In other parts of Mozambique, Elephant populations are being re-established in both National Parks and some hunting areas.
Elephants may be hunted in numerous coutadas which are government-controlled hunting areas. Elephants are hunted on foot and are normally tracked. These hunts can be exhaustive, so take lots of water and sunblock.
Legislation regarding the importation of the Elephant tusks and derivatives is constantly changing. Elephant trophies from Mozambique cannot be imported into the USA.
