There are only one species of Common Duiker in Africa that are also often referred to as Grey Duiker, Bush Duiker or Grimm’s Duiker. A total of 40 subspecies have been described, however, these are grouped into four groupings, the Southern, Angolan, Western and East African Bush Duikers.
According to the SCI Record Book, if you were hunting a Common Duiker in the savanna region of Cameroon, it would be classified as a Western Bush Duiker and to be more specific the subspecies would be Campbell’s Duiker or the Black-faced Philantomba.
