The only Buffalo to occur in Mozambique is the Cape Buffalo also known as the African Savanna Buffalo. They are formidable creatures that inhabit the plains and woodlands of Africa. Known for their size, strength, and aggressive nature, hunting Cape buffalo has long been considered a thrilling and challenging pursuit for adventurous hunters. Buffalo are known for their aggressive nature and have been responsible for numerous hunter fatalities. Large herds of Buffalo can be found in Mozambique where outfitters have spent thousands of man-hours protecting them from poachers, a true conservation success story. Buffalo is listed as a species of least concern by the IUCN and only a Mozambique hunting license is required to hunt a Buffalo.
