Black wildebeest hunting in Botswana
We found 2 hunts
Black Wildebeest (White-tailed Gnu) in Botswana, an endemic species from South Africa have now been introduced to a limited number of private game farms and privately owned conservancies in the country. With their humorous flatulence like alarms, they have adapted well to their new environment but as yet nowhere near as common as the Blue Wildebeest.
Black Wildebeest are much smaller body-wise than Blue Wildebeest and therefore not as sought after as a meat-hunted animal. Currently, due to their low numbers, they are too valuable as a trophy species to be hunted for the pot.
Black Wildebeest are classified as a species of least concern by the IUCN and no special hunting permits are required.
