- When two like minded individuals with similar ambitious ideas cross paths, it is only inevitable that something great should come from it. Combining their passions for the outdoors, people and hunting, Michael and Dempsey have formed a company that focuses not only on the hunt, but also the experience given to each client. - Due to our rich German hunting heritage which stems from Michael’s ties to Germany we have enjoyed a hugely eclectic group of clients from around the world. If you can name a hunting nation, the likelihood is that we have guided someone from there! Typically we attend a number of hunting trade shows from January to February every year and it's always a pleasure to meet up with old and prospective clients alike.

About this hunt
As we now have the time to reflect on a truly incredible 2023 Buffalo hunting season we find ourselves already itching to get back out there and look for the Dugga boys that got away! We had a truly phenomenal season, hunting 25 buffalo in total (23x bulls and 2x cows) across our various concessions. Not once during the season did we see a lapse in age or quality of the Buffalo we hunted. Years of hard work are starting to pay off! We also like to make it clear that when a hunter books a Buffalo hunt with us we have no size restrictions/limits. Our focus will always be on age. It is the hunters luck on the day that determines the bull he is destined to meet with. That being said the biggest bulls we hunted this season measured 44", 45", 45.5", 46", 46", 48.5", 51 & 1/4" respectively. Buffalo are truly a noble adversary and it is for this reason that we at Bayly Sippel Hunting Safaris choose to conduct our hunts to the highest standard. Hard hunting on foot by taking the freshest tracks from the day before. The days are very long, consisting mainly of following tracks at a painstakingly slow pace, sweeping roads & checking waterholes. The hunting is fair chase and we will target old bulls as a preference. We have 3 primary locations (separate to our reserve hunt) that we do our buffalo hunts on. The physical demands of the concessions vary. Some may require a hunter to have extremely high levels of fitness as well as a good back whilst other hunts may be a bit more forgiving for someone who may require easier walking. Depending on a hunters physical abilities we will chose the most appropriate of the hunting areas. If you can successfully hunt one of our buffalo you will have bragging rights at having successfully done one of the hardest buffalo hunts in South Africa! Our concessions are all different and offer something unique to the client but one thing they all have in common is quality old Dugga boys.

All members of the family will be able to relax and unwind in our exclusive areas and you can rest assured when deciding to bring your spouse along that she will be more than pleasantly surprised with the accommodations. After a hard day's hunting at any of our lodges, guests can always look forward to a traditional South African campfire whilst exchanging stories under the African nights skies.

Excellent hunting experience
Unbelievably and unforgettably
Absolutely professional Michael’s team. His own PH level is off the scale. Trophies are just unreal. If you are looking for a real Africa and a real honest hunting, then you are here The movement of a herd of buffaloes somewhere nearby in the bush, an eye-to-eye look at a distance of less than 20 meters, PH luring the buffalo even closer and an arrow flying to an incredible trophy… This is something I’ll never forget. Thank you guys, thank you Michael, thank you Africa!

Best outfitter I've used. 8 safaris in total, of which 2 with Bayly Sippel, next will be with them too.
Instantly understand their client's needs and preferences and taylor the safari accordingly. Enthusiastic, excellent tracking, lodging, skinning, easy-going and hard-working. I highly recommend.
