- Allan, Owner/outfitter and his wife Denise, would like to invite you to join them in the beautiful Cariboo-Chilcotin area of British Columbia for your next hunting adventure. There is beautiful scenery, experienced guides and great opportunities hunting black bear, moose, mule deer, cougar and Mountain Caribou. We cater to your needs, whether you are a bowhunter, black powder or rifle hunter.
- Allan and Denise are both avid hunters and enjoy the outdoors. Allan is an official Pope and Young measurer and has successfully harvested many Pope and Young trophies.
- The main camp consists of rustic log cabins for hunters, clean and cosy. Spike camps are cabins or wall tents. There will be lots of good food prepared by a professional cook; and great conversation.

About this hunt
Moose hunts are done on horseback. Our main camp is situated in prime moose habitat, surrounded by chains of meadows and swamps in every direction. Most of our moose have been taken within a couple of hours ride from camp. During the pre-rut and the rut, hunts can be incredibly exciting when the bulls answer to the call. This is a 10-day Moose hunt (1 day in/out - 8 days hunting) Spots for moose hunts are more limited than ever and are spoken for quickly. We are still booking but be prepared to book well in advance. We would be willing to assess each request to see if we felt capable of fulfilling a disabled hunters needs Price DOES NOT include: Hotel accommodation in Williams Lake prior to or after the completion of the hunt. (This is sometimes necessary and advisable. Due to the remoteness of our camp, we do not pick up clients for afternoon or evening flights. They will need to overnight in Williams Lake and we will pick them up in the morning and then make the trip out to camp during daylight hours.)

Where you will stay
Camp
The main camp consists of rustic log cabins for hunters, clean and cozy. Spike camps are cabins or wall tents. There will be lots of good food prepared by a professional cook; and great conversation. The camp is very comfortable, from the warm cabins to the excellent cook house. Amenities include: propane cook stove and lights, log cabins with wood heaters, portable generator available to charge devices, operate sleep apnea machines, satellite phone for emergencies, not able to receive calls however we can check for messages on home phone daily, no Wi-Fi or internet, no TVs. outhouses, shower house with camp style shower. Hot water is always on the stove. We have a gravity feed system for water from a creek that runs along side the camp. All drinking water is filtered Shower house with camp style shower.
How to get there
Road travel times to our home: From Williams Lake: 2½ hrs., From Vancouver: 8½ hrs., From Seattle: 12½ hrs. The trip to our moose camp will take an additional 2 hours off road, requiring a good 4 wheel drive truck or if you prefer we will transport you into camp. Spring black bear hunts will be in the southern part of our area and will be in a comfortable tent camp. Bear hunters wishing fancier accommodations are welcome to rent cabins at one of the neighboring fishing resorts. Hunters can book flights to Williams Lake, BC, where they will be picked up and driven to one of our camps, a two to four hour drive from Williams Lake. Or they can drive, the trip taking approximately nine hours from the Blaine, Washington border

- For current year, 50% by Jan 1 or right away if booking later than Jan 1, remainder by April 1 for spring hunts, Aug 15 for fall hunts. If booking a year in advance, 10% to book, 40% by Jan 1 of the year the hunt is in and balance same as before.
- Deposits are non refundable, but we will allow transfers to another hunter, same hunt, same dates
- Hunt will not be considered booked until we receive the deposit

Moose hunt 2021
Awesome experience, Allan was a great guide. He doesn't give up when the hunt gets tough. The hospitality they offer was like being with family. Thank you so much for making my 60th birthday one to remember! Thank you Allan and Denise @Chilanko Forks, BC.

Amazing hospitality
Allan and Denise were good hosts. Their daughter Gillan came and was my guide for 2 days. I got a nice big buck on my 4th day.
Everything was as expected and better!

I had a great time and a great hunting experience with Allan and his family last Fall (October, 2021). They are very friendly and know how to make us feel welcome. Regarding the hunting itself, I can only thank Allan and his daughter Julian for putting me in the right place, at the right time to harvest the first big game animal I’ve ever shot. I got a 4 point buck in the third day of the hunt. I had the chance to shot one in the first day, but I missed it. One differential in getting Allan as a guide is the fact that he has horses. I was worried to go hunt because my knee hurts sometimes. However, with the horses (and sometimes covering longer distances with the truck), I didn’t have problems at all. So, not only is he very experienced in hunting and knows the area very well, he also has other features to support the hunter: horses, his truck, other licensed guides in his family. I had a small cabin for myself, good food provided, breakfast and lunch. We would also have sandwiches, juice, fruit for the time we were out. Denise (Allan’s wife) cooks really well. Therefore, I recommend Allan and his team to guide you on your trip. I was able to get to know their moose camp, and I got caught by it. I might try to have a second hunt with them in the future.
