About this hunt

We run this hunt under the same principles of each of our hunts: minimum pressure, a personalized hunt with the guide outfitter as your guide. This is a fun and exciting hunt that keeps you going all day. Deer, like the one pictured below, are considered average. The mule deer provides our most difficult hunt, which is just the nature of all mule deer hunting. This is a great hunt for excellent bears. The days are long and there are bears of all colours and sizes. The main method for hunting these big bruins is "spot and stalk". Allan has had great success this way and nothing is more exciting than harvesting a bear by this method. We hunt rifle or bow on approximately 3,700 square miles of area, in central British Columbia, Canada, giving us plenty of habitat to find bears. We like to keep our groups small, booking four hunters at a time, but will make exceptions for larger groups, if requested by the hunters. Bowhunters can arrange to have a bowhunting-only camp. Hunts are based on two hunters to one guide. One-on-one hunts or longer hunts are available. Please contact us to discuss your options. 7 day hunt. 1 day in/out, 5 days hunting. This is a fantastic spot and stalk hunt. You cannot go wrong. (Larger groups or non-hunters can be accommodated) We would be willing to assess each request to see if we felt capable of fulfilling a disabled hunters needs. Price DOES NOT include:  Hotel accommodation in Williams Lake prior to or after the completion of the hunt.    (This is sometimes necessary and advisable. Due to the remoteness of our camp, we do not pick up clients for afternoon or evening flights.  You will need to overnight in Williams Lake and we will pick them up in the morning and then make the trip out to camp during daylight hours.)

Moose hunt 2021

9.7 of 10

Awesome experience, Allan was a great guide. He doesn't give up when the hunt gets tough. The hospitality they offer was like being with family. Thank you so much for making my 60th birthday one to remember! Thank you Allan and Denise @Chilanko Forks, BC.

Amazing hospitality

Allan and Denise were good hosts. Their daughter Gillan came and was my guide for 2 days. I got a nice big buck on my 4th day.

Everything was as expected and better!

Chilanko team/ family helped me get my first deer

9.7 of 10

I had a great time and a great hunting experience with Allan and his family last Fall (October, 2021). They are very friendly and know how to make us feel welcome. Regarding the hunting itself, I can only thank Allan and his daughter Julian for putting me in the right place, at the right time to harvest the first big game animal I’ve ever shot. I got a 4 point buck in the third day of the hunt. I had the chance to shot one in the first day, but I missed it. One differential in getting Allan as a guide is the fact that he has horses. I was worried to go hunt because my knee hurts sometimes. However, with the horses (and sometimes covering longer distances with the truck), I didn’t have problems at all. So, not only is he very experienced in hunting and knows the area very well, he also has other features to support the hunter: horses, his truck, other licensed guides in his family.

I had a small cabin for myself, good food provided, breakfast and lunch. We would also have sandwiches, juice, fruit for the time we were out. Denise (Allan’s wife) cooks really well.

Therefore, I recommend Allan and his team to guide you on your trip. I was able to get to know their moose camp, and I got caught by it. I might try to have a second hunt with them in the future.
