About this hunt
Nestled deep in the Waterberg, you enter a quiet, malaria- and crime free paradise, situated just 3,5 hours from Johannesburg in one of the most unspoiled and untainted regions of
Southern Africa. The Waterberg has passed as a world heritage site by the United Nations. Stylish accommodation in the main lodge and a real African style bush lodge will make your stay an unforgettable one. All guest rooms are with bathroom en suite. Enjoy the daily activities or relax by the pool and at night share stories around the fire site, while our friendly staff attends to all your needs. Your hosts are original Germans and have been involved for more than 20 years successfully in the hunting and lodging business. We are qualified to take on a hunting trip with a professional hunter. You will find an abundant number of game. Other activities are guided walks , clay target shooting, pistol shooting exercises, bird watching or game drives in an open 4x4 vehicle. If you have the desire to take a longer trip we gladly organize tours to the Kruger National Park, the Pilanesberg Park or other sightseeing venues such as God’s window or Tzaneen. You see that we have a lot to offer and that this part of South Africa is the best choice to pay a visit to. Once you get hooked, it won’t let go of you! Come and share this amazing feeling of peace and tranquility with us in our paradise. Please note, that we not only take hunters, guests who want to do a photo safari are also more than welcome. Jackal and Baboons can get shot for free. Should the hunter wish a trophy we charge €50 for preparation. Hunt for Kudu needs a minimum of 7 hunting days.

Where you will stay
River Song Cottage
The main lodge was built in European style, where 2 rooms (one with 2 single beds, one with queen size bed) with en suite bathroom. In the main house an apartment can be found with 1 double and 1 single bad, lounge with open fire place. We have got satellite telephone system, on the entire farm is cell phone reception. Wi-Fi available.

Bush lodge
The African style Bush camp, which is situated in the middle of our farm, 10 km far from the main lodge, consists of 3 separate chalets each with toilet, basin and shower en suite, 8 beds in total. The building material is all from the surrounding area; river rocks, endemic woods and thatch. This lodge is fully equipped. For cooking and dining we built a separate chalet which has an included dining area, a bar, a guest toilet and a kitchen with stove/oven and refrigerator, all cooking utensil you need, as well plenty dishes. For the cosines the camp is fenced in. Although the camp is electrified you have the choice to create a very special atmosphere by lighting the numerous petrol lamps.
The Bush lodge can be booked for self catering to non hunting clients for EURO 60,00 for 2 people per night.

Our guest get picked up by a very reliable transport company, who brings them to our lodge. Flights arriving later than 15.00 will be picked up only the following morning. We speak Afrikaans as well.

Cancellation
- A deposit of 50 % of the daily rate (Accommodation and hunting day rates) has to be paid.
- 20% immediately to an European account to secure the booking.
- The balance of 30% of the daily rate must get paid at least 8 weeks before arrival (in total 50%).
- The balance of the total daily rate and trophies must get paid cash at the day of departure.
- No credit card or bank check accepted.
- 20% deposit not refundable.
- Cancellations 4 weeks prior to arrival 80% of the 30% refund but all deposits can get transferred to another person or can get used for future safari (up to 12 month)
- Payment must be done in cash or by traveler check on the day of departure.
- We recommend clients to take out a travellers insurance in case of trip cancellation due to any reasons.
