Free Range Sambar Deer Hunt

Free Range Sambar Deer Hunt Australia

We offer 100% FREE RANGE HUNTING IN THE TRADITIONAL HOME RANGE, THE GREAT DIVIVDING RANGE ON OVER 2 MILLION ACRES . This is the real deal and a tough hunt with high % but no Guarantee of securing a Trophy. We have access to loads of private property where the deer can leave the heavy bush line looking for some improved pasture. Free range Sambar Deer are Australia's No 1 game species. Being almost nocturnal and having excellent senses these animals thrive in the thick vegetation. Heavy boned and thick skinned and with most shots on the move and sometimes in scrub this a very challenging and rewarding hunt. The Sambar is the second largest Deer species, second only to the ELK , bigger and heavier than a Red Stag. The hunter needs to be fit and able to walk mountain terrain to maximise the chance of securing this highly sort after trophy. I use a German Wirehair Pointer to help locate / follow and also recover wounded game if necessary. Bow hunters are also welcome! With over 30 years of highly successful Sambar Hunting experience we offer a professionally guided outfit in some of the best Alpine Mountain Ranges in Australia. Extra days can be added. This hunt can be added to any of our hunts on offer . • We are happy to tailor hunts to meet the needs and requirements of our clients. • Bowhunters are welcome • Best time: March to November • Rifle requirement: Min 30 Cal
