Your mornings are free to fish, take an ATV trail ride or just relax. After lunch, your guide will take you to your hunt site, refresh the bait and settle you in. We’ll pick you up after legal light or when you shoot a bear. Preseason baiting, lodging, meals and local transportation are all included. We’ll also drop you off and pick you up from your hunt site. Your guide will provide field care and transport to the tagging station and a game processor if applicable. We provide ready to hunt tree stand or ground blind bait sites depending on your preference. Arrive Sunday, hunt Monday through Friday, Depart Saturday.

Ultimately, success depends largely on the hunter. Discipline on stand, commitment to the hunt and heeding advice from your guide will ensure the highest possibility of a successful outcome for your hunt. We take great strides to ensure you have the opportunity to take a Maine black bear. From the highest quality fresh bait to regular trail camera monitoring, we make every effort to ensure you have a hunt of a lifetime. No ethical outfitter or guide service will guarantee success, but we can and do guarantee you will be on an active bear site - proven with trail camera photos. We monitor throughout the hunt and our clients get to see bears coming in to their sites in real time while in camp. We make adjustments accordingly. Know this, if you can maintain hunting discipline at one of our bear sites, your chances at taking a Maine black bear are very good.

The Lodge
Hunting camp is far more than a place to sleep when you aren’t on stand. It is a place of camaraderie, union of spirit and legacy building. The TRO Lodge boasts plenty of room for large groups featuring a full kitchen with appliances and a full bath on each level. Multiple propane wall heaters and a wood stove provide a comfortable, traditional hunting lodge feel. Enjoy the spacious deck, cook on the grill and have a camp fire in the stone fire pit. All guided hunts include lodging and meals on the American Plan.

Great hunt. Great support
Great food.
That the left government only allow you to hunt 1 bear a year despite there are too many bears.
Good hunting experience
The guide was excellent as were accommodations and food.
I didn't like that I did not get a bear, but that's understandable--it is hunting after all. Still a great experience.
Uncooperative Weather
Spending quality time with the Outfitter and the other hunters in camp.
Weather, rain from the hurricanes kept the bear hold up.
