This is an archery (compound or cross bow) only hunt Trophy whitetail deer! This is a unique trophy deer area that is situated between Lake of the Woods and Rainy River. With mixed agriculture, timber, extensive food plots, and a season that coincides with pre-rut and rut, this area has everything that Western Canada has to offer. Due to light hunting pressure these whitetails live to be trophy age (5-7 years old) and become huge bodied with large racks. The only way a buck can become a Booner is living to maturity in an area that provides great cover, lots of feed, and light hunting pressure. The Rainy River district has it all! Archery hunts run during the month of October. They are six day hunts for mature whitetails that are still on their summer feeding patterns. This allows the hunter to target these monsters while they are still on a predictable routine. Encounters are at close range from ladder, tower, ground blind or clamp on tree stands. Your hunting day begins before dawn with a light breakfast and then you will be taken out to intercept your quarry as they head back to their bedding sites from their feeding activities. The morning wraps up with pick up and a mid day lunch. The afternoon will proceed by again taking stand in an ambush strategically located between the deer's bedding sites and their afternoon feeding locations. A 12 foot shooting platform with an outdoor shooting range utilizing the glendel full rut buck targets.

Guided Accommodation
Pinecrest has 3 bdrm with 2 beds in each room. Kitchen/dining room, a sitting area with tables, couches and chairs. Indoor bathroom has a flush toilet and hot showers. Other amenities, wood stove, fridge, deep freeze, propane cooking stove, screened porch overlooking the lake, floating dock in protected bay. The lights/ water pump are run off solar panels and there is a generator to run the lights, fridge/freezer. Guests bring their own bedding, tea towels, bath towels, and shore lunch pans. All other pots, pans, and place settings are provided for both cabins New NW Arm, 2 bdrm cabin with 8 beds, camp can accommodate 8 people. Separate bathroom/shower house 10 feet from main cabin. Other amenities include wood stove, Fridge, propane cook stove with oven, deep freeze, electric lights and water pump run off of solar panels, generator to run the lights, fridge, and freezer.

Driving Directions: The best way to get to us is to take the fastest route to either International Falls, MN or Baudette, MN. If you get to International Falls, cross the border to Fort Frances and take Highway 11 west to Emo. If you go to Baudette, cross the border into Rainy River and take Hwy 11 east to Emo. Once you get to Emo, go North on the Off Lake Road, and we are located approximately 9 miles north Take a right turn on Dance/Kingsford Road and we are the first building you will see on the right. Taxi service is available from International Falls Airport

The owners reserve the right to make the determination after every possible effort has been made to recover such game and after taking into consideration all aspects leading up to the wounding of such game if the said hunter shall continue hunting for the duration of the current hunt with us.
