About this hunt

The mixture of farmland and dense forest brings out the best habitat for a strong and abundant deer population. Our lodge is located on farmland, where you will quickly see the abundance of wildlife in the area. The whitetail we will be hunting will be both on the farmland and heavy forest. We tend to focus on the heavily timbered forests surrounding the farmland where the big bush bucks tend to be found. Our hunts are run in late November during rut and post rut. Post rut tends to get the big bucks on the move to find the last of the hot does. Hunting is all done out of stands, box blinds or pop up blinds on open sightlines in the timber where the deer are comfortable moving all day to give you your best opportunity. Transportation will consist of truck drives to and from the area with short ATV rides getting you to your stand locations. Late November can be quite cold so be prepared for extreme temperatures and long sits. Buddy heaters will be provided in stands if needed. Whitetail deer can range in size with a high population of bucks in the range of 140-160 inch and a healthy population of even bigger bucks that go into the 200 inch. With patience the bush is known to yield these big bucks.
