About this hunt

We hunt Black Bears in the spring using strictly spot-and-stalk methods—there is absolutely no baiting. Our area supports a healthy and abundant Black Bear population, with roughly 30% color-phase bears. These bears range in color from jet black and dark brown to cinnamon and even blonde. Hunters are permitted to harvest two bears per year, creating an excellent opportunity to pursue both a large, mature boar averaging 6–7 1/2 feet and a highly sought-after color-phase bear. This is a true fair-chase experience in wild country, tailored for hunters who value challenge, authenticity, and quality animals.

5% Goods and Service Tax (GST) is charged on hunt cost only and is not included in above prices.
Non-hunters are $200 US per day
1 on 1 guiding cost an additional $1500 US for 6 day hunts.
A $250 US fee will be charged for an early departure drive from Grande Cache to Grande Prairie.

Cancellation

Cancellation policy: Deposits are non-refundable if you cancel or leave the hunt early. Deposits may be transferred to a friend but not to a future year. If we cancel the hunt then your deposit will be refunded in full. We recommend getting insurance on your hunt deposits in case you need to cancel your hunt at the last minute.
