Our company was established in 2005 and operates in 1 territory.
  • Located in the prairie pothole region of Saskatchewan near Lake Diefenbaker, the South Saskatchewan River and Ducks Unlimited Project Marsh, Luck Lake, we have everything that makes a true waterfowler's paradise.
  • We outfit right in the heart of the Central and Mississippi flyways and our area is littered with the shallow wetlands that are so vital to nesting ducks. This combination gives us reliable numbers of birds from the beginning of the season with local birds, to the end of the season with late migrations.
  • Very few areas anywhere produce the variety, quantity, and quality of waterfowl in North America, and few outfitters will go to the lengths that we will to ensure you have the hunt of a lifetime, every time. So come along with us for a true waterfowler's Hunting Adventure.

About this hunt

Welcome Lucky Lake Hunting Adventures! Saskatchewan owned, we have been offering high quality waterfowl and upland hunts in central Saskatchewan since 2005. We are located in one of the lower hunting pressure zones in central Saskatchewan, with close to 10,000sq miles of territory. We hunt speckle belly, snow and Canada geese, several species of puddle ducks in dry fields as well as Sandhill cranes. We also have solid populations of Hungarian partridge and sharptail grouse available for something different. Your all inclusive hunt begins and ends with being picked up/dropped off at the Saskatoon aiport by one of our staff. After that, we take care of everything. Accomodations, meals, guns, ammunition and license, taxes and bird cleaning are all included. You will be staying in our 3500sqft lodge during your hunt. The showers are hot, the beds comfortable and the food is home cooked and plentiful. Unlike most outfitters, with us you hunt the whole time you are here. You are guaranteed 2 hunts everyday with us, no half days*. There is always something to hunt here, no such thing as completely limited out and not hunting. We also do not put giant groups of hunters in fields for "pile" pictures, you choose the group size you want to hunt with. Spotting is the key to hunting in waterfowl Canada, and we strive to be the best. There are 3 full spotters on the road at all times constantly finding fresh feeds for your group. You will have 2 guides on your group as well, a morning and an afternoon guide. We do this so the guides are both able to watch their own fields for the next hunt. We hunt from layout blinds and Aframe blinds. We use mostly full body decoys for all our hunts, but we also have silhouettes and sock decoys when they are needed. Additional days available.

Where you will hunt

Territory

Our area is truly unique in the fact that we get all of the migratory game bird that has made the prairies a number one destination. We play host to 100 of thousand of snow, blue and Ross geese, bountiful numbers of white-fronted geese, and Canada geese of every size. Being in the pothole region affords us the opportunity to hunt locally raised ducks, and we have them in big number. Mallards, pintails, wigeons, gadwall, blue and green-winged teal, shovelers, as well as numerous divers are very typical in a hunt here. We have an added bonus bird that is a true prairie trophy, the Sandhill crane. Most hunters have never experienced the site and sound of decoying Sandhills like we offer here. We also offer upland bird hunts for Hungarian Partridge and sharp-tailed grouse in our hunt packages. We use flushing dogs when hunting the hedgerows and short grass prairie for the speedy targets.
