About this hunt

Southeastern Spanish ibex - Sierra Nevada ibex , is one of three categories established for record-keeping purposes. This involves splitting the Mediterranean ibex (subspecies Hispánica) into geographical groups based on horn size and shape. It is smaller and lighter in colour than the Beceite and Gredos types, but larger and darker than the Ronda type. Horn size and shape can vary considerably from place to place, with the largest horns generally found in the Sierra Nevada.
