- Lochnell Castle is an historic estate on Scotland's west coast just a few miles north of the port town of Oban. Due to our spectacular coastal setting looking out over the Atlantic towards the Isles of Lismore and Mull, you will enjoy breathtaking views whilst on your peg.
- We are offering early season partridge shooting in September and October. There is also the opportunity to combine your driven partridge day with a day or two stalking red deer during the rut on the hills surrounding Lochnell. Woodcock shooting is available from November onwards.
- We aim to accommodate all your sporting preferences and adapt our packages accordingly so as to maximise your experience with us.
About this hunt
We are offering early season partridge shooting in September and October. There is also the opportunity to combine your driven partridge day with a day or two stalking red deer during the rut on the hills surrounding Lochnell.
The topography of the shooting grounds is a mixture of native oak woodland, heather, rocky coastline and beaches. The partridge days will be organised in such a way as to keep the birds moving, typically contouring the landscape to provide fast and testing birds. A few drives will evoke similarities to short sharp driven grouse drives.
Estimated bag is 100 (20% overage /underage) birds.
