  • At Wild Rose Outfitters, hunting isn’t just what we do—it’s who we are. Born and raised in Alberta, I’ve spent my life here, forging deep connections with local landowners and gaining exclusive access to some of the province’s best hunting grounds. With over 20 years of guiding experience, I’ve built Wild Rose Outfitters on the principles of hard work, integrity, and a deep respect for both the land and the animals we pursue.
  • We’re a low-volume outfitter by choice, welcoming only a select number of hunters each season. This ensures every guest receives our full attention and the best chance at success, while also fostering the close-knit, welcoming atmosphere we’re known for.
  • Our hunts are about more than just taking game; they’re about sharing an authentic, unforgettable experience in Alberta’s breathtaking wilderness. Every hunter and every trip is unique, and we tailor each hunt to fit your goals and style. Many of our hunters return year after year—drawn back not just by the trophy-caliber opportunities, but by the personal touch and genuine care that define every hunt.
  • If you’re ready for the hunt of a lifetime, we’d love to welcome you to Wild Rose Outfitters. Here, every hunt is personal, every experience unforgettable—and the memories you make will last long after the season ends.

About this hunt

When it comes to chasing monster mule deer, Alberta is in a league of its own. Alberta's central parkland sets the stage for one of the most iconic and rewarding spot-and-stalk hunts on the planet. If you’re dreaming of velvet-clad giants or heavy, hard-horned bucks that push the tape past 170” and beyond—Alberta is where legends live. What sets Alberta apart? Low hunting pressure, strict tag systems, and prime genetics. These bucks grow old in rugged, remote terrain, building the kind of body and bone that turns heads and drops jaws. You’ll need patience, a sharp eye, and the nerve to close the distance when the moment counts. Whether it’s archery or rifle, every stalk is earned—and every harvest tells a story. From early-season velvet to the crisp rut of November, Alberta’s mule deer opportunities are as diverse as the terrain. Join us for a chance at a once-in-a-lifetime buck in one of the most awe-inspiring landscapes Canada has to offer. Come for the view. Stay for the muley of your dreams. Locations: Our early season mule deer hunts are based out of our remote camp. It is truly first class, and no expenses have been spared - we ensure our clients are very comfortable and well fed.
