About this hunt

Columbian Black-tailed Deer is most of what you will be seeing. A harvested Columbian Black-tailed Deer gets you one more step closer to your Deer Slam. Mule deer are also in the area. Nothing like a big 4x4 Muley in the cross hairs. The deer also cross breed in some overlapping zones. This is a guided public land B zone hunt in the Shasta-Trinity National Forest. Northern California offers some excellent deer hunting. Hunters may get 2 tags a year. Lots of public land you may return to year after year. With so much public land it’s good to hire a guide. Guides can get you straight into good hunting areas. So you can make the most out of the time you have available to hunt. They do lots of scouting and have years experience on the land they will be guiding you in. The Forest is thick and steep, the burns are massive. A guide can increase your chance of seeing a buck in your crosshairs. This hunt package is a guided only hunt. So no accommodations or food are included. We will be hunting old burns, thick dark timber and timber cuts. All hold deer but each take a different approach. We will spot and stalk and still hunt. So expect hours behind the glass as well as hiking the steep terrain. I will personally be guiding you on your hunt. I use quality glass. Put lots of miles on my boots, boats and trucks each year. During different times of year, they are in different areas. I will take you in the area where I believe you will have the best chance to harvest a class of buck you are looking for. Before the hunt we will discuss if you are looking for a Trophy class buck, a meat buck or both. Additional fees not included in price; -tax
