About this hunt

Our back country or wilderness elk hunts are guided elk hunts into the Bob Marshall Wilderness. These are among the most rugged Montana elk hunts, and we often describe them as extreme hunts or the ultimate free chase elk hunt. Elk hunters are treated to waking up to the sound of bugling. Montana wilderness elk hunts are operated in earlier hunting seasons, so we are able to offer a rifle hunt for elk during the rut. Many of our elk hunters also bring a bow so they can archery elk hunt in the surrounding area. Multi weapon hunts are popular with elk hunters that like to maximize their opportunity. There are opportunities for mule deer and black bear in combination with the elk hunts. Dates: Sept 14-20 Sept 23-29 Oct 3 - 9

Where you will hunt

Territory

We are fortunate to have access to thousands of acres of the Flathead National Forest, in and around the famed Bob Marshall Wilderness. Big game hunting in western Montana takes place primarily on remote lands owned by the Flathead National Forest, the State of Montana and private timber companies. We have permits for hundreds of miles of public hunting ground and is the only commercial Montana hunting outfitter in our specific area with permits to hunt big game such as: mule and whitetail deer, elk, moose, goat and lions. While we employ highly skilled and experienced guides, these big game hunts are very challenging and do not carry guarantees of harvesting of game. If the thought of going home without an animal is not palatable to you, do not book a hunt.
