Reedbuck hunting in Zimbabwe
We found 1 hunt
Once common in most of Zimbabwe, Common Reedbuck, the largest of the three species of Reedbuck species is now only found in the Zambezi Valley, Eastern Highlands and the lower Limpopo River regions of Zimbabwe. .
The Southern or South African Reedbuck is a khaki-golden-coloured medium-sized antelope mostly associated with water-rich environments, floodplains, and tall grass habitats. Common Reedbuck have a characteristic bald spot below the ear and pulp around the base of their horns. Apart from their horns, colouring, and some behavioural traits, they could quite easily be passed off as the equivalent of an African Whitetail.
Classified as a species of least concern by the IUCN, no special hunting permits are required to hunt this antelope.
