We found 1 hunt
Peter’s Duiker is a fairly large forest Duiker with a body colouring that ranges from tawny to reddish-brown making them difficult to tell apart from other Red Duikers. Other identifying markings are its frontal tuft which is a russet red, the legs are dark brown and the belly is paler than the body. They also have a black dorsal line that runs along the spine, over the rump and haunches. Both males and females have horns.
Peter’s Red Duiker can be hunted in the moist equatorial forests of Cameroon. It prefers regenerating forest growth and dense undergrowth.
Peter’s Duiker is a diurnal species and territorial species that spend the night resting or sleeping. They normally feed on leaves and fruit in open forest clearings where they can be ambushed by a hunter. They also respond to calls and will dash into dense cover when threatened.
Peter’s Duiker is classified as a species of least concern by the IUCN and no special import or export permits are required. A prearranged hunting license must be purchased before the safari begins.
