We are located in the top county for success with our past hunters having an 85% success rate and 100% sightings. The average adult black bear weighs anywhere from 250-600 pounds. With the purchase of a bear license, you can also hunt coyote (no limit) and the best small mouth bass fishing is available at no extra charge. 16 and 17 year old hunters are eligible to purchase a non-resident bear license if they show proof of a Firearm Safety/Hunter Education and proof of two year’s hunting experience if hunting with a gun, or a stand alone Bow Hunter Education course or a previous bow hunting license if hunting with a bow or crossbow. 16 and 17 year olds must be accompanied by an adult holder of a bear license with two years hunting experience. We have a limit of 8 hunters per week and only hunt the best 4 weeks of the spring season to ensure a quality experience. Hunts are 5 days. We have a very good population of bears on our hunting lease, as well as some brown and blonde color phase bears. We do not put a lot of pressure on our bears, so you will see several bears every night (as many as 12 to 15 per night is not uncommon, with some clients seeing over 20 in one night). Since we only hunt bears in the evenings, you have plenty of time to go fishing! Our lake has Walleye,Northern pike and Burbot. All inclusive with the exception of the fishing license, if clients want to fish, the license can be purchased at the lodge for $100.00 CAD.

Hunters will have a 99.9% chance of taking their black bear with our experienced guides. The day starts with a good breakfast, and is followed by a filing lunch. After lunch there is a couple of hours to prepare equipment, chat with the other hunters, or whatever you like. In the spring, there is no hunting until mid afternoon. You will then be picked up at the lodge between 1 to 2 pm by one of your guide. By law, a maximum of three hunters per guide is permitted. You will be brought directly to the first hunter's stand where you will receive a 2 ways radio and where minute verification will be made. It takes anywhere from one to two hours to get to the hunting area. The first hunter will be left to hunt with a barrel of fresh bait. The guide will set up the 2nd and 3rd hunters. As soon as a black bear has been shot, a guide must be notified immediately by radio. At the end of the hunting day, the guide will assemble his hunters. Hunters should remain or around their stands until the guide arrives.

Our black bear huns take place in zones 7,15 and 26 of the Quebec wildlife zone. We cover different types of habitat due to the size of the land we have. We mainly hunt on private lands, around 80% of our lands are farmlands with corn and oat fields. Black bears find there all kinds of food they need to go through the Quebec winter, we do not need to make a food plot - we have them all over.. Year to year, we have an average of 90% success. The average black bear size is around 60-80kg but some nice trophy will get over 150kg in the spring time. This semi-guided hunt is over a baited site, and all the hunters have an opportunity to hunt a bait that was never been hunt before him. All the baits are set for bow hunters with shoot under 25 yards or firearm hunters and are designed to offer the best advantages to any hunter. We conduct these hunts over bait and it is legal to harvest a grizzly bear over a black bear bait in our area as well as hunt same day airborne for the purposes of bear baiting. We also offer spot and stock 10 day packages. This increases your odds of harvesting an Alaska grizzly. Base hunt cost covers cost of the hunt only and includes 1 black bear, an additional Trophy fee will be due upon harvesting a Grizzly as well as extra black bears. We offer a unique hunting experience for either first time or seasoned bear hunters and a hunt that can be shared amongst family members or friends. Our bears typically average 250 pounds with exceptional bears harvested each year between 400-600 pounds. We take a lot of pride in our bear hunts and make them very enjoyable to you by providing a hunt that includes meals, lodging, guide, your stand/ blind, bait, transportation to and from the stand, meals, and skinning of your trophy black bear. We lease and hunt over one hundred and fifty stands located on very remote paper mill land. Our sites are baited thirty days in advance of the hunts to insure that the bears are actively frequenting the stands. You will definitely realize the beauty and peacefulness of our hunting areas. We offer both right and left handed tree stands and ground blinds, and only hunt over active baits. After claiming your trophy, the animal is professionally skinned and quartered to your specifications, upon your return to camp. It is then put into frozen storage awaiting your departure. We offer onsite taxidermy service for your convenience as well. We also have excellent trout fishing available to you or you can hunt coyote once you have taken your bear. Four Bear hunting weeks are offered within the season dates. Arrival is on Sunday at noon and departure is on Saturday morning. You will need a big game hunting license and a bear permit.
