Water Buffalo Hunting - 2 Bulls

Water Buffalo Hunting - 2 Bulls Australia

One of the last true free range and Wild places to hunt Buffalo in Australia, no fences, this is not a ranch style budget style hunt. In east Arnheim land, Northern Territories on a private lease of over 3 million acres with no fences this conservation has been present for over 28 years and is not your typical cattle ranch hunt. Jim has personally been hunting and guiding on Buffalo since 2007. You can expect to see over 100 wild Buffalo and within these herds 5-10 trophy Bulls per day. One of most under estimated and under rated hunts in the world these Bulls are not to be taken lightly as if surprised or coming into a herd they can become defensive and charge although we try to avoid these situations. You can add additional trophy Bulls, management Bulls, Wild OX (not scrub bull), Banteng, Boar, Barramundi fishing, and scenic tours including boat cruise looking at crocodiles. This is the most remote hunting camp in Australia, hunters will arrive via a short charter flight which is approx. $800 per flight/plane. 2 Bulls up to 35 inch spread are included with the 5 days, +$2500 to upgrade to 1 Bull over 35+ inch spread and 1 under.

Banteng - free range wild hunting

Banteng - free range wild hunting Australia

Hunting Banteng in Australia is as much about the hunt as it is about the trophy, and it is a great combination with water buffalo. These elusive and spooky bovine that is more like a deer in mannerism can only be hunted in Australia Northern Territories, in the Garig Gunuk Barlu National Park which is closely managed needing permits and include the Cities tag to be able to enter the area which keeps out local hunters and constant hunting pressure. If your interested in a true wild and free ranging hunt where they are today the purist strain left in the world hunting them in a natural environment without the confines of cattle fences and cattle operations, in conjunction with the traditional Aboriginal land owners. There are 2 main classifications on trophy hunting banteng that are wild and free ranging. Measurements of horns are based on the Safari Club International scoring system where a silver medal Australian banteng will go up to 66 4/6 inches combined (adding both horn length and base measurements together). Over 66 5/8 is considered gold medal. Hunting banteng in Australia we utilize 4x4 vehicle driving jungle roads looking for crossings to water in the morning, it is not uncommon to see banteng when driving out of camp which is located right on the ocean. From there we spot and stalk with assistance of the traditional owners looking for a big trophy bull. Recommended caliber for banteng hunting in Australia is the 375 or above, with shooting distances typically under 100 yards. This is one of the pure and genuine hunts that you will remember for a lifetime personally guided by Jim. Hunt can be upgraded to 2x1, days added or additional animals such as Buffalo, Ox, Boar, and Sambar deer. This will appeal to the hunter that is looking for a high quality, genuinely wild and free ranging experience on an animal that has a growing reputation as one of the most exciting hunts in the world that many will never have the opportunity to hunt.
