Steep hard hikes, saw a bunch of game. Pero the guide knows the area very well. Be prepared for a hard hunt for mouflon in the Biokovo mountains. The Chamois area I hunted was slightly easier but still definitely a mountain hunt. All in all IMO one of the best hunts for the money. Vlatka was great to deal with and everything very organized as far as drivers, etc. all in all very satisfied and would definitely recommend if considering this as a future hunt.

Vlatka took a great amount of time organizing trip details from A to Z. Enjoyed the UNESCO world heritage sight of Trigor. With a wonderful stay at Hotel Tragos. Makarska was beautiful with the sea to the incredible mountains. Really strong amount of chamois on mountain to chose from. Mr. Pero was an outstanding guide that has hunted this mountain range for 20 years! Would recommend this hunt to anyone looking for a Balkan Chamois.

The country and people of Croatia were so nice and accommodating. They work hard to please their customers. The hunt was difficult but a real hunt and authentic.

This hunt was very physically demanding and I was prepared but a lot of hunters might get caught off guard and not be able to hunt due to the difficult climbing and amount of miles of walking required for this hunt.

Vlatko was on top of everything from the beginning prior to our arrival all through the process to our exit. We had a change in our plans, due to weather and Vlatko made sure everything continued to run smoothly. Additionally he included me ( the spouse) in the plans to view Brijuni and Mali Brijuni even though he was the professional hunter to take my husband hunting. We also asked him for suggestions on spending time after the hunt and viewing other parts of Istra. Even though he is not our concierge, he put us in contact with others for that aspect and made sure we were taken care of. As for the hunt he and his tracker were excellent and knew the area extremely well. Like the back of his hand! My husband went out for 2 hunts and wished he had time for another.

In the future and there will be another hunt using Vlatko, my husband will bring his own gun to feel most comfortable or at least take practice shots with Vlatko's firearm prior to the hunt.
