This is a fun hunt to do either on your own or with a couple buddies or family members. It makes for a great day and is very kid friendly! We have several prairie dog towns on our private ranch providing for hours of shooting. Your trigger finger will get tired! We generally suggest bringing at least 300-400 rounds of ammunition per day per person. There are several stores in the town of Sheridan to purchase more if you need.

Our deer hunts are tailored strictly towards hunting the mature, high scoring bucks. The hunts are a full 6 days and with the extensive use of trail cameras we put you in the right place so you have the best chance at that "Buck of a lifetime", EVERY time you hunt with us. Our average score on bucks taken in the last 3 years is 160 B&C with the largest in the last three years being a 189 inch typical. To date we have taken 4 bucks over the 200 inch mark. We have a very high number of repeat clients. However, if you are interested in hunting a place where YOU know that you will be hunting 160 class or better bucks, then just get in touch with me and I will send you more information and get you on our waiting list. We will have a 135 minimum score for the 2020 deer season. Anything under the 135 inch mark will be subject to a $750 penalty.

These are 5 full day hunts and we offer special pricing for 2x1 hunts ($3350. per hunter) and 1x1 hunts for $3850. Hunts take place from our lodges in SE Montana or Central Montana. With a wide variety of habitat we will usually employ several different hunting methods each week. The hunting method for each day will vary depending on the time of year (pre-rut, rut, post rut), weather conditions and physical condition of the hunter. A typical day of hunting would be spent glassing agricultural areas from elevated points hoping to catch animals moving to and from feeding and bedding areas in the morning and evening. The remainder of the day is spent still hunting, spot and stalking and rattling and calling. This is an exciting hunt with clients having the opportunity to see many deer per day! A western whitetail hunt should be high on every hunters list as this is a challenging hunt in a beautiful place! Our high success rates only add to the excitement! I walk you through the entire application process from start to finish taking the worry out of it for you!! APPLICATION DEADLINE IS APRIL 1ST SO DON'T DELAY MAKING CONTACT. Draw odds are: 1st year 80%, 2nd year 95%. The length of the average shot will be from 150 to 250 yards with every attempt to find a solid rest. You should practice shooting prone, sitting, and kneeling while bracing your rifle on a solid object such as a rock, fence post, or tree. Recommended rifle size is .25 caliber up to whatever you feel comfortable shooting and should be sighted in 2"- 3" high at a 100 yards depending on the caliber of your rifle and bullet selection.

Moose seem to be everywhere in some of our areas. The moose hunt for residents is a lottery system, and although our outfitter tags are guaranteed, they are very limited in numbers. That, coupled with the fact that these farm/farm fringe areas do not have big numbers of black bear and wolf, means little or no predation of the moose calves, and consequently our moose population has exploded. Success rates on shooting opportunities runs pretty much 100%. Moose hunts All non residents can enter the lottery draw. When we, as an outfitter, are successful at drawing a non-resident moose tag, we can then offer that tag to a non-resident hunter. Unfortunately, we were not successful for the 2018 moose draw. All non-resident hunters can apply through our web site, which will put them directly to the DNR site. And the cost is 41.68 payable to them. If they are successful in the draw, it is 630.20 (payable to DNR) Note: We will be updating our web site to indicate this information. These tags are extremely hard to come by and there are only 50 available in the province of New Brunswick Hunters for moose season are recommended to arrive at camp 1 day prior. Bear hunts are only in Grand rapids. Hunters have an excellent opportunity at a Pope and Young or Boone and Crockett bear. Hunts are from pre-baited stands. Most stand site are fixed position stands or ladder stands with 10-20 yard shot distances. Baited stands are strategically placed in remote areas where bear traffic runs high. Transportation and access to stand locations is provided by any combination of ATV’s, Side by Side’s, Argo or 4WD vehicles. Depending on your stand location you may only travel a short distance on up to 6-8 miles. Walking distance to your stand location typically ranges 10-50 yards. Non-hunters welcome to accompany you for $750.The hunt starts on a Sunday and runs until Friday, with Sunday being arrival and departure on Saturday. You provide your own meals.
