We found 1 hunt
Bay Duikers are also known as Black-striped Duiker or Black-backed Duiker. These reddish-brown Duikers have a very dark stripe running from the base of the neck to the base of the tail. Another distinguishing feature is the white spots found above the eyes and on the lips and chin. Both sexes have horns.
Bay Duikers are forest-dwelling Duikers that can be hunted in Cameroon. They prefer old-growth and primary forest areas.
Bay Duikers are a solitary nocturnal species that spend the day resting up in thickets or against the buttress of trees. Their diet is made up of mainly seeds, fruit, leaves, fungi, flowers and even invertebrates, eggs and birds. They have an excellent sense of smell which they use to locate food and detect danger. If danger is detected they often freeze but once they take flight, they bound off in typical Duiker fashion into dense cover.
Bay Duiker is classified as a near threatened species by the IUCN and no special import or export permits are required. Bay Duiker hunting licenses must be purchased before your hunt starts.
