About this hunt

With the words of Hemmingway, The Green hills of Africa 1935 “ Now it is pleasant to hunt something that you want very much over a long period of time, being outwitted, out-manoeuvred, and failing at the end of each day, but having the hunt and knowing every time you are out there, sooner or later your luck will change and that you will get the chance that you are seeking.” These wide open spaces lead to the birth of our bush camp which is built with the objective to bring you back to the days of Hemmingway and Capstick. Situated in the granite koppies/hills of Welvaart, with approximately 100 000 ha of privately owned land. We have two spacious safari tents for accommodation, a kitchen and a large multipurpose entertainment tent with adjacent boma. To ensure exclusive privacy and best personalized service to you, your family and hunting friends, we kept the bush camp small, but big enough to provide you with the experience of a life time, with a sense of adventure you can only get in a tented camp.

Where you will hunt

Territory

The northern part of Namibia is known for the bush, rather than open savannah grasslands. The largest part of the hunting area is in semi thick bush, which is one more reason why larger calibre guns do better. A smaller calibre bullet can easily be thrown off target with the slightest brush of a leaf or tall grass. The average shots granted are between 100 and 200 meters, rarely any further than that.

Trip of a life time

10.0 of 10

The accommodations were beautiful and comfortable. The hunting property is extensive with plenty of opportunities to see all kinds of animals. We were able to shoot every animal on our list before the end of our trip. The guide was knowledgeable and personable, super fun to be around. He was patient teaching the teenage boys, and really helped us make the most of our trip. I love that he only does private trips and takes the time to adjust the "schedule " to really fit our individual priorities.

Extremely good PH. Hunting area had good trophy animals in abundant numbers. Top quality Gemsbuck best I have ever seen in my 11huntig trips to Africa.

Excellent PH

10.0 of 10

I was really impressed with Ruan as a PH. He knows his craft extremely well and is possibly the best hunter I've ever been afield with. He worked hard for me and put me on some good trophies - even when I thought "no way is this going to work"! I would not hesitate to recommend him as a PH.

High quality
