About this hunt

This sprawling private cattle ranch was only sporadically hunted by a few family members until recently. Sportsmen will appreciate the opportunities for abundant game that roam the ranch in Southeast Nebraska. We offer a 3 day and 2 night overnight predator hunt. Open grassland and tree lines offer many hunting opportunities for predators such as fox, coyote, bobcat, and badger. We will provide you with a map of the property along with locations where you can hunt. Hunters are able to spotlight and hunt at night in Nebraska. You may choose to hunt with a call and decoy (electronic calls are legal), spot and stock, or hunt over bait. Our movable ground blinds are available. Hunting license and permits can be purchased at https://ngpc-home.ne.gov/. Out of state resident’s will need a small game permit and furbearers license. Nebraska residents will need a furbearers license. Hunters can also enjoy excellent catch and release fishing when they are not hunting. Our 20-acre boomerang lake is stocked with large-mouthed bass, northern pike, bluegill, catfish, and crappie.

Territory

Most of the ranch is situated on four mile-square sections with no through roads, providing secluded access, privacy and solitude to our guests. This outstanding habitat offers wild game food and cover on rolling hills with a mix of woodlands, hedge tree rows, native grasslands, pastures, draws, gullies and ponds. Neighboring farms produce many different crops including corn, milo, wheat, oats, soybeans and CRP. Our Nebraska ranch is home to magnificent old cottonwood trees that are interspersed with ash, cedar, mulberry, walnut, locust, hedge (osage orange), burr oak and hackberry trees. The native prairies here are lush with many different grasses and flowers including big blue stem, little blue stem, Indian, switch grass, herbs, and wildflowers.

Where you will stay

Lodge

White cedar logs were imported from Canada to construct the lodge, which was custom designed to take advantage of views overlooking the twenty acre boomerang-shaped lake. This log lodge combines rustic beauty with modern amenities. The great rooms have 18 foot vaulted ceilings with log beams and stone fireplaces. Full kitchens are provided to guests for meal preparations. Red oak hardwood floors and knotty pine walls offer a warm welcoming atmosphere. Charcoal grills are also available outdoors. Italian style tiles have been used in both kitchens as well as the spacious baths. Each suite has two bedrooms which comfortably sleep six people: one bedroom has a cedar log queen-size bed and the other bedroom includes 2 sets of comfortable extra-long rustic aspen bunk beds. One suite is handicapped accessible and the entire lodge is all on one level for easy access. Each suite is independently regulated for heating and air conditioning.
