Where you will hunt

Territory

Our South African base known as the Waterberg wilderness reserve is 56,000 acres and located in the Waterberg region of South Africa’s Limpopo province. Having been designated as a protected area, part of the Waterberg Biosphere Reserve, the primary objective lies with Natural Resource conservation. The Concession is run along pure sustainable management and development principles, with an exceptionally low developmental and tourism footprint thereby offering unrivalled exclusivity and privacy. Our block is home to over 50 different mammals including, Elephant, Lion, Rhino, Leopard, and Cape Buffalo (Big 5) as well as Hippopotamus and Crocodile (Dangerous 7). Unique predators like Cheetahs and African Wild dogs also hunt and roam the reserve at will. The diverse terrain made up of mountainous bushveld with rivers streaking the landscape, gentle rolling hills and flat bush provides the perfect backdrop to a truly wild African safari experience for both dangerous and plains game hunters.

It is on the banks of the mighty Mokolo river, that has carved massive cliffs, sandy beaches, potholes and cascades that will find your home in Africa. Each en-suite room has an African Wildlife theme and accommodates two people in either King or Twin beds, dressed in white linen and African throws. The olde world-Africa atmosphere is noticeable throughout, this includes your dining experience, breakfast and most lunches are served in the main lodge dining area, under a thatch canopy or on the deck overlooking the beautiful Mokolo river.
