I am a third-generation Alaskan that has lived a subsistence lifestyle for over 45 years. Hunting, fishing, and trapping have always been a part of daily life for me. Growing up in a remote area and living off the land I learned wilderness survival and hunting skills at a very young age. I love teaching these skills to others, especially my two children Conner and Sylvia. I have been an Alaskan Big Game Guide since 2004 and truly enjoy sharing Alaska’s beautiful yet rugged wilderness and all of the opportunities it has to offer with my clients.About this hunt
This horseback hunt takes place north of the Arctic Circle on the south side of the Brooks range. The use of horses allows us to cover a vast area that would otherwise be very difficult to hunt.
You fly into a remote gravel airstrip where we will meet you with a string of pack horses, load up your gear, and lead you to our rustic yet comfortable base camp. From the base camp, we will take horses further into the mountains and set up a spike camp consisting of two tents, a small kitchen, plenty of good food, and an astonishing view of the landscape. Generally, we will hunt on foot from there, occasionally taking saddle horses on day trips to cover more ground.

How to get there
Navigation guidelines
Fly into Fairbanks on the airline of your choice and overnight at the hotel of your choice. The next morning a prearranged charter flight will take you to the outfitter's camp. The cost of the charter is included in the price of the hunt.

A DEPOSIT OF 50% IS REQUIRED AT THE TIME OF BOOKING TO RESERVE YOUR HUNT; HOWEVER, HUNTS BOOKED MORE THAN A YEAR IN ADVANCE ONLY REQUIRE A 25% DEPOSIT AT THE TIME OF BOOKING WITH AN ADDITIONAL 25% DUE 1 YEAR BEFORE THE START DATE OF THE TRIP. THE REMAINING BALANCE IS DUE 60 DAYS PRIOR TO BEGINNING YOUR HUNT. ALL DEPOSITS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE HOWEVER DEPOSITS CAN BE APPLIED TO FUTURE HUNTS IF CANCELLATION IS MADE 60 DAYS IN ADVANCE.
