More about us

Our company was established in 2005 and operates in 1 territory.
  • Located in the prairie pothole region of Saskatchewan near Lake Diefenbaker, the South Saskatchewan River and Ducks Unlimited Project Marsh, Luck Lake, we have everything that makes a true waterfowler's paradise.
  • We outfit right in the heart of the Central and Mississippi flyways and our area is littered with the shallow wetlands that are so vital to nesting ducks. This combination gives us reliable numbers of birds from the beginning of the season with local birds, to the end of the season with late migrations.
  • Very few areas anywhere produce the variety, quantity, and quality of waterfowl in North America, and few outfitters will go to the lengths that we will to ensure you have the hunt of a lifetime, every time. So come along with us for a true waterfowler's Hunting Adventure.

About this hunt

Unlike most outfitters, with us you hunt the whole time you are here. You are guaranteed at least 2 hunts everyday with us .That's right, in a 3 day hunt you have a minimum of 6 hunts, 4 day hunt you get 8 hunts, etc! Spotting is the key to hunting in waterfowl Canada, and we strive to be the best. Firstly you are guided full time during your hunt, no "dropping you off" after the decoys are set. We are there to call the birds, call the shot and watch the limits. Secondly, the guides are also the spotters. The morning guides spend their afternoons spotting and the afternoon guides spend their mornings spotting. We have found this prevents guide burnout and keeps us hungry for the next hunt. We also have 4 full time spotters that are constantly finding fresh birds. A typical day starts at about 4:00 a.m. with a continental style breakfast. Then it's off to the field in one of our Suburbans with you guide for the morning waterfowl hunt. We hunt from layout blinds, Aframe blinds and use white cover suits when hunting snow geese. Nothing beats quality when it comes to decoys and we got em. Full body Canada, speckle belly and snow goose decoys, as well as sock decoys are all employed when hunting with us. Guides are all accomplished callers, but we do use electronic callers when hunting snow/blue/Ross' geese. After the photos have been taken it is back to lodge for a big home cooked brunch. The afternoon hunt starts around 2 pm with your choice of ducks, cranes or upland birds. After October 15th geese may be hunted all day, so if you are bent on goose hunting this is the time for you. We try to tailor every hunt for you, so your input is vital in making this the best Canadian waterfowl hunt it can be. After photos it is back to the lodge for a hearty supper and a well earned rest.

Where you will hunt

Territory

Our area is truly unique in the fact that we get all of the migratory game bird that has made the prairies a number one destination. We play host to 100 of thousand of snow, blue and Ross geese, bountiful numbers of white-fronted geese, and Canada geese of every size. Being in the pothole region affords us the opportunity to hunt locally raised ducks, and we have them in big number. Mallards, pintails, wigeons, gadwall, blue and green-winged teal, shovelers, as well as numerous divers are very typical in a hunt here. We have an added bonus bird that is a true prairie trophy, the Sandhill crane. Most hunters have never experienced the site and sound of decoying Sandhills like we offer here. We also offer upland bird hunts for Hungarian Partridge and sharp-tailed grouse in our hunt packages. We use flushing dogs when hunting the hedgerows and short grass prairie for the speedy targets.
