About this hunt

Our season is quite long from August 6th to October 6th but short hair in early August and bad weather in October places most of our mountain goat hunts into September. The weather is usually stable and the goats’ coats are getting nice as fall sets in and provides us with the first frosty nights. The Skeena and Omineca Mountains of British Columbia are well known for producing record book quality mountain goats. Our goats range in size from 9” to 11” with an average of 9 ½” and our success is usually 100%. The reason for our great success on mountain goat hunts is the terrain. We hunt our goats between 5,000 and 6,000 feet in elevation. In several locations, the hike to the tree-line is only 2 to 4 hours and the use of some cut trails make it quite manageable for most hunters in good physical condition. Our guide area also has some very remote goat hunting locations where the hike through the forest takes you to some ranges that have possibly never seen hunters before. These goat hunts are as physically demanding as one would expect but can produce some great trophy Goats! The Skeena and Omineca Mountains in our area have produced numerous record book mountain goats over the past decade. This camp like most of our camps has a nice hot shower setup. What is special about us: We have specifically trained tracking dogs for when a shot isn't perfect. All the meat will be utilized in various meals of wheels or soup kitchen in town or for events at the lokal indigenous village. Since 2020 we have a indigenous youth apprenticeship program with 4 students from the lokal Takla Nation that our clients help make happen by booking with us.

Camps/Log Cabins/Lodges

Most camps are wood or log structures with cook and bunk cabins. They are fully equipped with wood stoves, propane lights and cook stoves, shower setups, beds, and foam mattresses. Some of these cabins are located on beautiful lakes. These camps are all outfitted with boats and motors, or canoes with paddles. Lifejackets and other safety gear is present. They are all a very comfortable base to go hunt out of and get back to after a long day in the field. Each camp has its own character and we would be happy to help you choose the one best for you.
