Great Hunt!

Had a great hunt with Bob! Missouri had a hot weekend for the rifle opener this year, which made it tough for everyone, but everyone still saw deer and at least one good buck. Half of us were tagged out with nice bucks by the second evening (myself included) I will be back!
Mandatory CWD check stations. (I'm sure Bob would agree with this one) If you get a deer opening weekend you will have to bring it in to a local check station on the day of harvest, so plan accordingly!

Very nice/clean housing. The owner took me out to the stands he thought had the best game traffic for my hunt. Even offered me his truck to retrieve my game if I didn't wanna use mine. Taught me a lot as a new hunter and provided 99% of what I needed! Will absolutely be back next year and looking forward to my turkey hunt with him here soon!!
Nothing!! It was an incredible time, I had a blast! Didn't walk away with a buck, but thats not the owners fault or mine. Can't control the weather!! But I did walk away with a nice doe and meat in the freezer.... not to mention an extremely pleasant week!!

I liked the amount of birds and getting to hear some gobblers in the morning time! Bob and Karen were great host ! He knew his land and had it well managed great time !
All good no issues. Except a few ticks but you will have that during turkey season.

It's not a big property but there's a bunch of game traffic....i was fortunate to call in a couple bucks and take a shot at one but not get it with my longbow. That's my own fault. For the price I'm more than happy and the lodge is great. Internet not so much. But definitely got my monies worth and then some

Lots of deer, great properties to enjoy, cabin is a nice base camp

Opportunities were there, nice stand placements for gun hunters, seen some great bucks, and in a week seen over 40 deer, lots of turkey, and wildlife.
Compound bow hunting could be catered to a bit more, although i was very happy with overall options of stands.

Bob really worked hard and tried to help us however he could to make our hunt successful. He knows his land well. It was super early and the birds were hened up and had a big cold front but we stayed with them. My son got a huge bird after we got them patterned. His first Tom. 1-3/8 spurs . Memories that will last a lifetime. Stay with them and be patient. Saw Tons and tons of deer. Man o man was it loaded with deer. Every where we set up we had deer come by us. Every single time.

late October archery hunt

extremely friendly people and a beautiful property. I was the only hunter on the property the week I was there and Bob basically gave me free run of the place. The first day he gave me a very in depth tour of the land and all the stands. then after that he metaphorically handed me the keys and said have fun. Great food plots and watering locations with stands in strategic locations. Very obvious that this land is well looked after by a very experienced hunter.
The lodging was surprisingly very accommodating. I have done multiple "self-guided" hunts and have to say that the sleeping arrangements here are almost perfect. I had a wing of his house all to myself complete with a bed, couch, full bathroom, full fridge and hot plate. Overall very happy with the lodging
After each day Bob would check in and ask about that days hunts and try to help in any way he could. it was very obvious that he truly wanted me to have a successful hunt.
unfortunately i did not have a successful hunt in terms of harvesting a trophy but the experience and knowledge gained from hunting an unfamiliar location and speaking with a well versed hunter is still a success in my book. To expect to harvest a trophy every hunt or even every year is wildly unrealistic for most people and if that is what you judge weather your hunt was successful or not you will undoubtedly be disappointed at some point in your hunting career.
To wrap it up I was very satisfied with my hunt and would definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for an authentic whitetail experience
weather did not want to cooperate - temps got into the mid 80's in late October resulting in not a lot of movement during day light.

It's free range fair chase deer hunting here. I have good bucks but whitetail trophy bucks are hard to kill. About half my deer hunters killed 8 point bucks or better and everyone saw lots of does and bucks. Several were trying to kill their biggest buck ever so that can make it tough. I know some good bucks were passed buck the heat and horrible drought did seem to have an impact on big buck movement. Good news is there will be great bucks next year! Thanks for hunting with us. Mr. and Mrs. Parker were both very nice. Talking with them felt like friends I’ve had for a long time. The lodge has mounts from all around the world to admire. Nice clean sleeping area.
No real inside stove to cook meals on. Just a one burner hot plate. I only got to hunt one of the two properties. There are plenty of stands and ground blinds, but way to close together for my liking. Although I saw does every day. That’s not what I went there for.

The cabin you stayed has a small oven with a stove top with one burner. It also has a microwave, huge gas grill on the front porch and also charcoal grill outside as well as a full size refrigerator. You are correct there is not a regular kitchen in that cabin. We offer to do dishes for hunters or just use our pots and pans and paper plates and such. I wish you would have said something while you were there maybe we could have helped. 80% of our hunters in our rifle rut hunt had opportunities for shooter 8 pointers or better. Because this is during prime rut I key in on does. I wish everyone could take a monster buck with us but sadly this is not the case. I try my best to put hunters in the best spots a moved hunters to several different stands during this hunt. Thanks again for hunting with us! Bob

My 11 year old son and I had a great trip with Trophy Quest. The accommodations exceeded expectations and are located on a beautiful piece of land. The hunting was tough, as we hunted the last few days of the season and the birds just weren’t super hot anymore, but there was definitely a healthy population of turkeys in the area (also tons of deer on the property and excellent habitat for them). We managed to harvest one and got within gun range on a couple others but couldn’t seal the deal. We enjoyed fishing mid day and caught a load of really good sized bass. Bob was a great host and was very hospitable. He has excellent knowledge of his property and is a top notch land manager. I would not hesitate to book this place again and can only imagine how good the hunting is when the birds are hot. Thanks for an experience my son and I will cherish for a lifetime.

Late Season Hunt

Bob was very responsive and helpful throughout the entire process. The cabin was clean and organized when we arrived. The off grid experience was incredible and something I would recommend to any passionate hunter.

Bob and his wife Karen have a great place the cabin was beautiful and the pond out front was a great bonus to spend an afternoon fishing after the morning hunt. We really enjoyed staying at trophy quest outdoor adventures and would highly recommend this outfitter to anyone. Bob has some amazing property to hunt and a healthy population of turkey. We did not get a bird this year but will definitely be back to try again. Bob took time to sit down and share stories with my dad and I as well as give us some pointers and teach us a few tricks with our box call and slate call he is a wonderful guy and he does it right.

Can’t say enough great things about TQ for our recent 2-day Missouri youth rifle deer hunt! Communication with the outfitter was timely and responsive. We were warmly greeted immediately upon our arrival and the accommodations were clean, comfortable and warm. Over the course of our hunt, we saw over 35 deer which is critical for success on any youth hunt. Overall, the hospitality, fellowship, meals and accommodations exceeded our expectations and made for a wonderful father/son experience. We look forward to future hunts with TQ!
