I liked that there was an emphasis on educating me how to hunt. After a few times out, I have a level of confidence that would allow me to go solo if I wanted to.
Hunting is hard. It takes a few times out to be successful. I wouldn’t say that I didn’t like that. It’s part of a larger learning process.

I went out with Fisher for four separate days in 2018-2019 for deer and turkey, and can not recommend him highly enough. Fisher plans and prepares every hunt with care, is extremely knowledgeable, passionate, and super interesting. He goes above and beyond on every dimension, for example, he helped me get a turkey license last minute after I completely forgot to do this in advance. My advice is book soon, I plan to head out with Fisher as soon as deer season gets started again!

I did an apprentice trip with Fisher for whitetail deer. This whole service is pretty incredible. I am a beginner in every sense of the word, and by the end of the day, I had received so much information and training regarding firearms, locating and spotting deer sign and quality hunting locations, and actual hunting that I feel like I could go out on my own next season and have a great chance of success. The amount you learn from Fisher is just nuts. I spent the whole day with him and it is clear that he had a lot more to teach. He is also patient, easy to hang out with, and professional. If you live in NYC and have any interest in hunting, there is nothing else like them. Do it.

It was a great day. Learned a lot about hunting deer and the outdoors. Would definitely do it again. Fisher made sure to think of everything at each step so that the day went by without a hitch.
