Luke was born and raised on Afognak Island in the Alaskan wilderness — one of the most remote islands in the Kodiak Archipelago, where the subarctic rainforest and higher population of bears than people wasn't a backdrop but a way of life. As an Alaska Registered Master Guide, Luke has personally guided several thousand successful hunters, anglers, and adventurers across some of the most remote and productive country this state has to offer. He is one of the most experienced brown bear guides in the world. Guests may also be guided by assistant guide Casey Harver — a retired Navy SEAL and former outdoor survival instructor for the SEAL teams. Both Luke and Casey are known as much for their hospitality as their expertise. They take genuine pride in the experience they provide, and it shows in the field.
