About this hunt

Two of Europe's great driven traditions in one trip, run from a four star hunting lodge in Southern France. One day you are at a peg under a world famous duck estate, mallards pouring over the line high and fast, retrieving dogs working between drives while a drink is passed down the pegs. Another day you are on a French Monteria, packs of dogs pushing wild boar, mouflon and red deer toward your high seat, the barking swelling until the game breaks cover. Loud, fast, social, and closed each day with lunch at the lodge and the tableau laid out. Program • Day 1: group arrival, then the range, clay shooting and running boar practice • Day 2: French Monteria on the estate • Day 3: driven high duck shooting at a world famous estate, around 90 minutes away • Optional Day 4: another Monteria or another duck day • Day 4 or 5: departure after breakfast Driven duck shooting. You stand at a peg for 3 to 5 drives. Dogs pick up between drives while a drink and snack are served, then lunch in the shoot lodge after 3 to 4 hours. Bag 50 ducks per gun, poolable across the group (6 guns is 300 ducks). Extra ducks 20 euros each. High duck shooting at its very best. French Monteria. After the morning briefing, guns are driven to their high seat for one or two drives, about 4 to 5 hours. Bag 1 wild boar per gun, plus unlimited female and young mouflon and red deer. Experienced guns can expect 3 to 5 animals each. Trophies available, price on request. Guided trip. Teams of 4 to 12 guns. Wild game and live drives, so results depend on the day.
