More about us

Our company was established in 2018 and operates in 1 territory.
  • Luke was born and raised on Afognak Island in the Alaskan wilderness — one of the most remote islands in the Kodiak Archipelago, where the subarctic rainforest and higher population of bears than people wasn't a backdrop but a way of life.
  • As an Alaska Registered Master Guide, Luke has personally guided several thousand successful hunters, anglers, and adventurers across some of the most remote and productive country this state has to offer. He is one of the most experienced brown bear guides in the world. Guests may also be guided by assistant guide Casey Harver — a retired Navy SEAL and former outdoor survival instructor for the SEAL teams.
  • Both Luke and Casey are known as much for their hospitality as their expertise. They take genuine pride in the experience they provide, and it shows in the field.

About this hunt

This is a fully guided hunt, and each hunter has two guides with them. We will be based out of Kodiak Big Timber Lodge, which is located in the heart of the wildlife and will depart daily to hunt Afognak and Raspberry Islands. Each day, we depart the lodge in one of our boats to cruise the coast, glassing the beaches and mountainsides for bears and other wildlife while being in the densest population of marine and land wildlife the state of Alaska has to offer. While we are cruising, we can also be trolling for King Salmon and stop to catch some Halibut or jig up some rockfish or Cod.

Where you will hunt

Territory

My hunts are lodge-based each day, so you can sleep in your cabin and have 3 fresh meals daily. We then hunt by boat too cover a larger area and have a much higher success rate. I guide the north end of Kodiak Island, and all of Raspberry and Afognak Island. The area is mixed with all types of terrain and has areas with large meadows and others with dense Spruce forests and Alder thickets. It is an ideal habitat for wildlife to thrive due to the abundant number of Salmon streams, berry patches, and vast tidal buffets.
